When this log splitter was delivered on January 10, the 'bleeder screw' was stripped and would not tighten. I contacted the manufacturer and asked that they send a replacement screw. After supplying the model number, date of purchase, etc., etc., etc., the person who was assisting me seemed very confused regarding my request. She did not seem to have any knowledge pertaining to the products PowerSmart sells. After being placed on hold multiple times while she checked with this person and that person, I was told that PowerSmart did not have replacement parts for the products they sold. **REALLY?** She did offer to send a replacement log splitter if I would return the one I had. The log splitter weighs over 100 pounds and the box that it was delivered in was nearly destroyed in shipping. Not an option. I asked to speak to a supervisor which naturally was not available but she did offer to have her call me. I'm still waiting for that call. PowerSmart was also contacted via email and pertinent information was provided. Another dead end. ALL I WANT IS A 25 CENT 'BLEEDER SCREW'!

Must have for seniors. Can reduce the size of firewood so easily! Easy to use while sitting, no fumes like gas powered splitters and much quieter too.

Saves a ton of time on splitting logs that are hard to split like oak logs. Have not had much problems with it HOWEVER read the directions before using please as you can damage the hydraulic system if not used correctly as i almost made that mistake by using it without loosening the bleed screw which must be loosened during use. I also filled it with automatic trans fluid for freezing temps. It does take alot of fluid to function properly so dont be scared to fill it as the dipstick was showing filled but it still needed fluid to function properly. overall good value for money. Seems durable however this is my first year with it. It is heavy however its easy to move with the handles and wheels. overall not a bad product to start splitting wood with.

This is a very capable and doable and safe log splitter perfect I absolutely love it and I was very skeptical at first I have owned it now for 3 weeks and I put at least a cord of Doug fir and White cedar large rounds through this splitter and it has been amazing would recommend this log splitter to anybody who is financially stretched and need something within their price range this fits the bill

Great splitter for the money! Their customer service was the best I've experienced on a product. They were prompt, and answered all my questions and addressed my needs. Highly recommend. Pro tip, Make sure you keep lock washer and nuts tight at the end of the piston.
