Produce up to 2800 surge watts and 2250 rated watts of power on gasoline, or connect a propane tank for up to 2800 surge watts and 2000 rated watts of power on LPG. The WEN Watchdog CO Shutdown Sensor helps protect both you and your family by automatically turning off the generator if dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Our 98cc engine operates at a quiet 60 decibels at no load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 2800W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 45-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra-efficient 1.58-gallon tank provides up to 9 hours of half-load run time (or 13.9 hours half-load run time on a 20-pound LPG tank). Waited a year to review (about 100 hrs on the machine).. Ok, here's the deal. Take it from a retired home builder with lots of generator experience, if you plan to rely on this unit to make a daily living, (think food truck) I would save my pennies and go for the twice as expensive Honda only because they are proven to last forever. But, for any other application, especially camping, look no further than the WEN 56200i. Mine does everything it's advertised to do but no more. By that I mean, you cannot exceed the 1600 watt continuous or 2000 motor start surge max. So before you click "buy", know your wattage, especially the start up power of motors involved. Read the directions! I can keep mine in econo mode in my camper van and watch TV, run my small refer and a small fan if need be, all at one time. In this application, it only revs up for a second or two when the refer compressor kicks in and then right back down to a purr, Really quite. If I want to use my Keurig clone or the microwave, yes, I actually have to get out of my recliner and hit the switch to get out of econo for a few minutes. It can then easily handle these appliances one at a time. It's quite, sips fuel, fairly light and the motor never misses.Starts on first or second pull every time. The only drawback is changing the oil every 25 hrs, but it's easy to do. Just watch the price, Last year it went back and forth from around $485 to a low of $410. And oh yeah, never, never ever leave fuel in it unused for more than a month, or you will be looking for a new carb. Update, 6-11-21. Ok, so I’ve had this machine almost 5 years now and so, how’s it going? In a word, perfect. Probably about 500 hours and still runs like new. After the first few oil changes, I really think you could probably go around 35 hrs instead of the 25 called for because at 25 the oil is still amber in color. The only thing I would add to my initial review is that when you let it sit for a month or two, especially in the winter, you may have to pull the starter as many as 15-20 times to start. DON’T GIVE UP. IT WILL START. After that it’s back to the 1 or 2 pulls. Probably a gas in the carb thing. Anyway.... Still going strong and highly recommend. ... show more

    • MUST READ REVIEW / BEST INVERTER / GENERATOR ON THE MARKET... PERIOD!
WOW!.... I am very impressed with this "inverter / generator" BEST INVERTER / GENERATOR ON THE MARKET PERIOD!!!. First off the shipping was super fast! I was in the process of relocating / selling our home and only had one week to purchase and have this product in hand as we were set on a deadline to leave. I ordered on a Wednesday night and received the product on Friday morning a day later. I needed an inverter / generator to power a chest freezer full of game meat and other frozen goods that could not be replaced. I was traveling from Colorado to Washington then boarding a ferry from Bellingham to Ketchikan Alaska... I needed to be able to power up the generator along our trip to keep the freezer running full time until we board the ferry for 2 days. I am actively in Bellingham WA right now in a hotel writing this review and I will get to the point and tell you about my experience so far. When first opening the box the WEN is easy to pull out with one hand as it has a convenient carry handle on top. opening the cover plate to gain access to the oil intake was not a big deal and since you do not have to fill / refill oil very often this is not an inconvenience for me. Filling the oil was a bit more difficult as the spout is just about horizontal so a simple funnel or a hollow tube on a squeeze bottle with oil would be a clever way to fill / refill the generator. NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF!... after following the start up process ( super easy!) with one pull the generator started up and was super easy to pull the starting cord / cable... VERY QUITE!!!! WOW... this generator just purrs like a kitten if you are a light sleeper and this generator was located outside your camper / RV etc. you would have a hard time hearing this generator running. So here I am in Bellingham some 4 days later of travel, although it says not to run in the rain... I simply used vinyl tape to cover the input ports for the various items it will run and I had zero issue with performance in the rain. The exhaust fumes from the spent gas was not offensive and very mild even with no wind to disperse the fumes were not offensive, this is good for placing in tight spaces etc. HERE IS THE BEST PART!!!!!!! I put the setting on ESC to conserve the fuel consumption and to my amazement this generator will power up not only a large chest freezer (200 Watts plus )but also a large stand up refrigerator (200 watts plus) and usb required electronics at the same time.... AND! I can use one gallon YES!!! one gallon of gas and run all these components for over 16 hours... HOW ??? I dunno but that to me was the best part of this purchase, I kept stopping along our road trip to check the gas consumption and then when in our hotel room over a long needed night of sleep... and to my amazement the WEN was still running.... My wife and I now joke about the WEN " yup still running " every time we go to check on the fuel level... I am also impressed with the fact that it can run all these components at the same time and still conserve fuel, absolutely amazing and at close to $500 bucks compared to other comparable generators for over $1K I think the choice is obvious to go with a WEN... so like the company slogan states......     • Burns a little oil but still a good little unit.

Runs good, easy to start, I like that i has an hour meter which many small units do not, I like that it doesn't have the CO protect feature. I also like that it has a fuel shutoff that allows you to run the carb empty before storage. My DB meter shows about 60db with eco mode on and 66db with eco mode off (23ft away with no load). It is quiet but not as quiet as my powersmart 2500w or my Predator 3500w. It is however quieter than my Predator 5000w inverter. My main complaint is that it seems to burn a little oil so the exhaust smells stronger than others I have used. ... show more
