Description

Remember when your miter saw could do it all? Create cuts at any angle with the WEN 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. Our powerful 15-amp motor slices through even the hardest of woods, providing 5000 blade rotations per minute. This versatile saw bevels up to 45 degrees in either direction and miters up to 49 degrees in either direction, with a front bevel control for fast and easy adjustment. Cut boards up to 12 inches wide and 3.75 inches thick or make compound cuts (45° bevel and 45° miter) in boards up to 8.5 inches wide and 2.6 inches thick. The saw features 9 miter stops: two at 15 degrees, two at 22.5 degrees, two at 31.6 degrees, two at 45 degrees and one at 0. However, if a more unique angle is preferred, the miter lock still allows the saw to lock at any angle between those stops. The onboard LED cutline guide casts a shadow against the blade to illuminate your line of cut for maximum accuracy while the dust collection port allows for connection to either the included dust bag or your dust collection device of choice. This spacious saw also features a 5.5-inch crown molding nested capacity and a 3.5-inch base board vertical capacity. This package includes a 40-tooth carbide-tipped blade with a 5/8-inch arbor (model BL1040), two adjustable support fences, one quick-clamp assembly, a dust port, a dust bag, and a carrying handle. And, because it’s a WEN product, your miter saw comes backed by a two-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a friendly customer help line, all to make sure you remember WEN.

  • Hands down the best compound miter saw anywhere near this price point
This thing is fantastic. There are of course much better saws out there for a couple of hundred more dollars. But at this price point I doubt you will find anything better. Even the blade it comes with works well, I would still change to a fine cut blade for nice trim work, but for general use the blade is great. This was square out of the box, is easy to adjust, and has a serious amount of power. The saw slides on the rails amazingly smooth, and the design allows you to place against a wall and still make full use of the saw. The only other saws I know of that allow you use against a wall all start at more than 300 bucks more. Eventually I may upgrade to a Makita, but for now and the probably pretty long future, this saw is awesome. ... show more

  • Great Value with Flaws
This isn't a great saw for a beginner but if you're handy and know your way around tools it's a fantastic value for what you get. First off, the reports of a tight arbor nut are REAL. It's like they have been installed with a pneumatic impact wrench. I needed a pipe extension, full body weight, and a clamp surface in order to loosen the arbor nut from the factory and install the blade which is unreasonable and unsafe. You have been warned. The adjustments are a little blunt on this saw for bringing the saw to a perfect 90 degree cut making it tough to fine-tune but so far my adjustments have held and it's cutting nicely. The included clamp is completely worthless because it anchors to the fence and when clamping it causes the fence to deflect which will throw off the cut. The fence on my unit is also not co-planer. I will probably remove and replace the fence or shim it long term but this could make it a non-starter for some users. Once tuned, this is a great saw and a fantastic value but it takes work to get there. If you want it to work perfect right out of the box, however, you might need to look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Excellent product at this price point!
I'm very impressed with this saw. It's probably not an appropriate choice for a shop that needs a saw to run constantly. There are high-quality plastic parts that will not last under those conditions. But for moderate use, this saw is excellent. It came out-of-the-box calibrated for square 90-degree cuts, and the bevels and angles are correct according to my digital scale to within a 1/10th of a degree. I used old Delta and Powermatic power tools on the job for years, but in retirement and for my home shop, I don't have the same heavy-duty needs. Could I ask for more? Sure, the first would be built-in lighting for the scales. But that was easily remedied with magnetic lights. I also added a dust collection tent, which works exceptionally well with this saw. Dust bags on any saw don't perform adequately, and you re-expose yourself to the dust when emptying and cleaning the bag. You can do accurate and precise work with this saw. ... show more

  • Great miter saw
People turn their nose up at WEN but I find their products to be just fine. This saw does not have side deflection like other brands with the front slide bars. I just tried the dust collection and it works well, much better than expensive saws. I am a part time woodworker and my other WEN products are planner, scroll saw, 6” jointer and scroll saw. All have been good purchases with bargain prices. ... show more

  • COMPOUND MITERS, NO PROBLEM - SLIDING ARM IS EASY AND SMOOTH
Ready to go, right out of the box, comes with a 7-1/4 inch blade (need to install) but it cuts smoothly and slides very easy. it does COMPOUND MITER cuts and has a clamp to hold your work right where it needs it.

  • Loved it until I didn't
Bought this miter saw in March 2023 and absolutely loved it. I've done a ton of work with it with few problems. Then about a month ago, things started to come loose on the saw. The blade made a funny sound one morning and found that the blade was loose. What?? I hadn't messed with the blade. Had changed the blade a couple of months ago but that shouldn't have caused this. Then the safety blade fell down while using the saw. Just strange things like that. No big deal, put everything back together with some lock tight on the screws. I also noticed that on start up, it was making a rubbing sound or knocking that went away quickly. Wasn't able to figure out what it was. This morning I was cutting some plywood pieces and the blade started making a strange sound. Unplugged the saw and felt the blade to make sure it was secure and running free. It's secure but not spinning free. Felt like the blade lock was rubbing. Checked the blade lock and that doesn't appear to be the issue. Plugged saw in, it's making a streaking sounds and the blade became stuck. Unplugged again but can't find the problem. I'll be calling Wen tomorrow, when I have time, because it's still under warranty. I don't have much hope as when reading the warranty, the buyer must pay for shipping for the repair and pack it in the box it came in or comparable. Yeah, we all keep the boxes and styrofoam for every product we buy. Have a feeling that instead of a miter saw, I now have a 45lbs paperweight. I have had good luck with Wen products until now. Won't be purchasing another Wen miter saw as the replacement. Sucks. ***Update*** I found the problem. Internal gears in the gear box attached to the arbor stud (not sure what to call it), have become misaligned and a c ring, holding everything together, came off. No idea how all that would happen unless it occurred at the factory. So, found the problem now I have to figure out how to fix it. ... show more

  • Works pretty well, but the safety guard fell apart and now the saw is more dangerous
Safety guard is supposed to cover the blade after use, but the whole thing was poorly assembled and just fell apart. Now there is no guard.. still cuts ok, but a bit scary now.
