Does the job, reliable,great price
Even though shipping box was almost destroyed when generator arrived, there was no damage to any of the unit components. After running it for several days, have not had any issues so far. Love the AC selector switch, as it allows me to keep my RV plug connected avoiding any current surges when starting it. Generator is able to handle the AC and fridge on RV easily without issue. Wheel kit and handles were simple and fast to assemble, other generators do not include them. Only negative for me is the fuel tank size, as I need more than the 5 running hours it provides. Overall, unit has quality parts and practical features that are excellent for the selling price. ... show more

Amazing
It's loud as can be but I'm sure anything older by a couple years is even louder. I ordered this like a month before hurricane Ian hit and it was perfect timing. I was able to set up and test everything and boom Ian came lol. It worked perfect. I still have to buy the oil plug with a magnet that is sold separately to collect the metal shavings. It's super efficient on gas to I used maybe 8 gallons over a period of 4 days without power. I used a mini fridge tho and TV's, charged phones. I would recommend this to anyone. Starts first pull, looks cool to from a distance. My neighbor has an older craftsman and he was jealous lol ... show more

Decent for the price
So I'm doing a review after abusing it, I bought this because my other one quit just weeks before a rally, it was cheap so I wasn't expecting much but it came pretty quick, I only had to fill the fluids and bolt on the wheel kit , we went to a week long bike rally , it ran non stop the entire time with no issues at all , I had my 30amp camper plugged in so it ran a fridge ,micro, heater cause it did get cold and other odd stuff like phone chargers ,radio, lights, it also drizzled one day , now it literally sat outside in the elements with no cover, it burned a tank of fuel a average of 9-10 hours , it's a little heavy not bad for me but I'm a bigger guy, my girl can't carry it tho , starts pretty easy on the first pull and is a little quieter than my last one which was a champion, it's definitely worth the price ... show more

Value was the selling point.
Almost all the generators are either made overseas or out of what I was willing to spend on a portable generator. This one gave me a happy medium of everything. Has been great so far.

One of the few major items purchased that lives up to all the billing.
Couldn't be more pleased with this generator. Took about 20 minutes to remove the temporary bracket bolts, install the wheels, handles and front stabilizer rest. I was careful not to over/under fill with oil which would be easy to do based on the confusing directions. I used non-ethanol gas (Stabil works too), hit the "ON" switch, placed the lever on "CHOKE" and it started the first pull. (The manual rewind was easy to pull.) After the break-in period I hooked it to my generator inlet box and tried the lights and small appliances. Having had success with the lesser wattage items I then turned on the 4500 watt hot water heater. It ran this with ease. So much so that I will be attempting to max it out by seeing if I can realize the full peak watts. All-in-all I couldn't be more pleased with this generator. It works exactly as advertised and a little more so. (I wish I could say the same for UPS. This company not only suffers from an efficiency and timely aspect, but also from an ethical standpoint as well.) ... show more

Great buy
Compact and light weight, affordable, runs perfectly and puts out 240 v without issues. I run my 1hp water pump with it. The only complaint is that I had to get the high altitude kit installed…wish it came ready to be used.

Wow. Just what I wanted... and then some!!
VERY happy!! Box arrived totally beat to shxx, but I was surprised that when I opened it, EVERYTHING was in perfect condition. Not a single scratch. Assembly took about 30 minutes.... plus some time looking for a funnel to add the included oil to the crank case. Once assembled (very easy) and shipping brackets removed, added gas, followed the steps on the top to start, and it literally started on the first pull!! Amazing!!! Next was a functional test. Tied it into my house circuit, switched off my house power, powered the generator up (again first pull to start), and plugged it in. Everything worked flawlessly. Even my well pump kicked on with little drag on the engine. Could not be happier. The size is a lot smaller than other brands of the same wattage capability (significantly so). I almost have trouble believing the 6000 watt peak / 5000 watt continuous rating, but so far it has fit my needs perfectly. ... show more
