Description

Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power? The WEN 4500-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator produces clean energy free of voltage spikes and drops without all of the noise of a regular generator. Generate up to 4500 surge watts and 3500 rated watts of power on gasoline, or connect a propane tank for up to 4500 surge watts and 3150 running watts of power on LPG. Our 212cc 4-stroke air-cooled OHV engine operates at an extremely quiet 58 decibels at quarter load, about as quiet as a window air conditioner or the average conversation. This limits its invasiveness while hunting, camping, tailgating and restoring back-up power. Our unique Auto Fuel Selection Technology automatically switches between propane and gasoline for longer run times with limited hassle. The keyless electric start lets you turn on your generator at the press of a button, and includes a recoil pull starter as backup. The WEN 4500W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe for laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other vulnerable electronics. The lightweight design along with the built-in wheels and folding handle make for easy portability while the ultra-efficient 2.2-gallon tank provides up to 8.5 hours of half-load run time (or 9 hours half-load run time on a 20-pound LPG tank). Our fully-packed panel comes equipped with two 3-prong 120V standard household receptacles, one RV-ready AC 120V 30A NEMA TT-30R receptacle, one 12V DC receptacle, two 5V USB ports and an easy-to-read digital fuel and load display. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the Eco-Mode switch. This feature allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the usage of unnecessary gasoline. The oil access cover makes for easy oil changes. Need more energy? Easily link up two WEN inverter generators using a WEN Parallel Connection Kit (sold separately) in order to share wattage between multiple units. Low-oil and low-fuel automatic shutdown, indication lights, and overload protection safeguard both your generator and your electronics from damage. The included spark arrestor allows for legal use in national parks and campgrounds. And because this is a WEN Product, your inverter generator comes backed by a 3-year limited warranty, a nationwide network of skilled service technicians and a friendly customer helpline. Remember when your generator powered your electronics safely and quietly? Remember WEN.

Great generator. very quiet. About the same as my older EU 2000 , Honda generator.Easy to use. Excellent manual. easy to maintain.Like the fact that you don't have to tip it on its side to change the oil. runs my AC on our RV, no problem. It is heavy, but is has good wheels and a nice fold down handle for moving it. weights about twice as much as my old Honda, but twice as powerful. takes my wife and myself to load it in our vehicle, but we are not as young as we once was. (100) lbs. electric Start works well. all plug ins and controls are easy to understand. price was fair and warrantee, seems like it will be good. So far very happy with it. did as the manual says. ran it for approximately 8 hours, drained out the oil, (break in oil) and installed new oils per the manual. I used 10-30 synethic oil, as it's good for all temperatures. Does have nice lifting handles for loading. Also ordered the madnectic Oil plug for the unit right away. Glad I Did, as most new small motor engines seem to have slight slight metallic particles stuck on the plug, when changing the break in oil. For small units like this, there is no oil filtering device so recommend, the magnetic oil plug. seems to be a great unit and am extremely happy. ... show more

  • Great generator for RV
Pattern Name: Generator Style: 4500 Watt + Dual Fuel
I've got a little over 50 hours on the generator RVing. Things I like: * It's very quiet * Easy to start. * Lasts 10+ hours on a tank of gas with my RV. (It has a fridge/freezer, AC, microwave, Inverter (for lights, water pump). We pull up at a cracker barrel and sleep over. Generator is still running on gas when I wake up. It's 10+ hours from the time I started it, wound down, slept, ate and ready to roll. * Oil change is easy. * Handles load with no issues. * Display with hours really helps to know when to do maintenance. * Ability to run the carb dry via the fuel switch is great for maintaining carb. * Battery is easy to get out for storage. It would be nice if this was designed for rain. Seems like a clear water proof cover for the electrical panel would be easy to incorporate. And make the shell so it keeps rain/falling water out. (Not splashing or wind driven rain, just normal drizzle/rain.). As it is, I keep it in the bed of my truck and made a wood cover (basically a table) to keep rain off it. ... show more

  • Nice little generator
Pattern Name: Generator Style: 4500 Watt
We've used this generator for a total of five nights so far, I also start it and let it run for about an hour once per month. It has performed flawlessly. We used it to power our small travel trailer while we slept at interstate rest stops during a three day trip across the country. The unit was quiet, and only burned about 2/3's of a tank of gas (a tank holds about two gallons I believe). It had no trouble powering the microwave or our TV, in addition to my wife's CPAP machine. If you are not going to be using it to capacity (in the middle of the night with no AC or electric heat), you can run it in ECO mode which makes it twice as quiet and I would imagine make the fuel last longer. I also ran the generator during a power outage one night here at our campsite. It ran consistently through a very heavy thunderstorm, through rain and wind it just kept purring along. I am very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • Works great
Pattern Name: Generator Style: 4500 Watt + Dual Fuel
Powering our 5th wheel while house is being built for about a month now. No issues. Works like it should. Went through a basic break in period. Got the magnetic dipstick. Minimal metal after changing the oil. Pretty much just a small amount of powder on the tip. Tried the dual fuel but it from what I’ve noticed it uses propane faster than gas. And when it runs out of propane it’s supposed to switch itself over to gas. It does but struggles for a few seconds. Like it’s trying to figure out what to do while it’s running out of fuel. Other than that it’s been great. Very quiet. Mainly keep it on the eco mode. Electric start works great. Even the pull start is easy to start. Very happy with it. Keep in mind buying a generator for your RV. 4500watts is just right. An RV handles 30amps max. That’s 3600watts. This generator is 4500 surge watts 3500 continuous running watts on gas and 3150 on propane. Another reason I keep using the gas. Dual fuel is nice just cause I always have one or the other around. Anything over 3600 watts your wasting gas and have a over powered machine. Bigger isn’t always better for a camper. Just an FYI to keep in mind. No one ever told me I had to research it all. ... show more

  • Easy to use and not a noisy as I thought
Pattern Name: Generator Style: 4500 Watt + Dual Fuel
Decent little dual fuel generator. Tested it with LPG and followed the instructions on the unit; worked fine. I would say it was about as loud as a lawn mower, and if I moved it out into the yard, it would be less noticeable. I did buy the cover for it, as it will live outside. If it gets more use, an enclosure will be in mind. A couple of things I did not like, was that the manual instructions and unit did not match up. Manual wanted me to pull the battery out to connect the terminal, but upon opening the panel, it was a quick connect. It would also be nice to know the unit does not come with oil. Last time I bought equipment, it came it a small bottle of oil to get you started, but nothing here. Not a huge deal, but if it was known when buying it, oil would have been ordered with it. Seen someone note about a magnetic oil plug; would be nice if that was standard on the unit as well. The unit also does not have weather in mind like some other brands/units, so it would be nice if some outlet plugs/caps where included to keep them clean/dry. Haven't run the thing as long as I should for the first test, so I cannot speak for longevity quirks. ... show more
