Does a great job for cutting wood plugs. Just make sure you drill around 1000 RPM. Comes in a wood case. Don’t use to often so didn’t need to break the bank. Very happy with purchase.

Used in white oak and made very accurately sized plugs. Used with a drill press. I think they would work ok with a hand drill but perhaps not as precisely. The price was low enough that these feel like a real bargain.

These work good in soft woods but in hardwoods they heat up extremely fast and probably not last long with continued use. I will by a higher quality bit for hardwood plugs.

These plug cutters are fantastic! They VERY sharp! The plugs I've cut match the holes from my Forstner bits perfectly, and are as clean cut as any I've ever seen. Plus, they came in a quality wooden case for safe storage. Beats having your loose plug cutters banging around in a tool box.

Life is too short for garbage tools, I wish I bought this set years ago. Cuts through hard wood like butter and the speed at which they cut is amazing. The only downsize is the diameter of the cutter wastes a little more wood than some other tapered plug sets, but well worth the trade off in my opinion. ... show more

I am disappointed these didn’t last long. Only used a few times to make some dowels and they are already dull. I was careful to not over-work them on my drill press. For the price, I had higher expectations. Contacted Wen support and will update my review based on the outcome. However, I’m not expecting any miracles as it took them two months to respond when I was having issues with my bandsaw (which I ultimately returned). ... show more
