Good for making kindling
The item is very well built, great quality metal and machining. The threads are clean and each attachment (SDS, MAX, 1/4 hex, Jacob's chuck) screws in easily and tightly. The wedges are heavy and they split wood great for kindling.. *the log needs to be split in half already, you have to go into the side grain, not the end grain. Lay the half log on the ground and drill into it near the edge, pieces will peel off with no effort. Better drills let you get closer to the center. I'll use them for making kindling, for the price they work great for that, and are worth the money. Takes away the dangers of splitting with a hatchet.

Splits the wood
These work really well as long as you don't have an enormous log you're trying to split. They work best if you use them near the ends of the log. It also helps if you have a strong drill.
