Has a ton of good features. You can separate the knife and fork and eat a burrito. Use a spoon for soup. Or open a wine bottle. It takes a second to get you used to how to open it but once you do I do it quickly and without even thinking about it now. We're only complaint is that I wish the spoon was a tad bit wider, but overall this is an excellent product. ... show more

Like with so many things, your satisfaction with this product will largely depend on your expectations. If you expect this to perform as well as a full-sized set of dedicated flatware, you're going to be pretty disappointed. But if you understand that it makes compromises that allow you to store and carry it in a compact package, I think you'll like it. Overall, the tool is really well-made. There's not a lot of slop in any of the tools when they're open. The two parts come apart and go back together easily and solidly. Speaking of which, this is a really handy feature (see more below). I've used every tool on it and they each perform their intended function. To really put the eating utensils to the test, I used it to eat some smoked deer ham and mashed potatoes. The deer ham is tender but still needs a knife to cut up. The knife blade, while not really heavy, has a sharp edge on it that I haven't been able to dull. Both the serrated and straight edges cut well. The lock that holds the knife blade open is very secure. By being able to separate the fork and its handle from the rest of the tool, you can use the fork to hold something while you cut it with the knife. This works great with one exception. The little detent latch that holds the fork open does fine for when you're eating with it. When you have to hold something securely while cutting it, it sometimes starts to fold up. Once you know to watch for it, you can avoid overwhelming the latch. But it took me getting a hand covered in potatoes and gravy to learn about it. I ate some potatoes with the fork and some with the spoon. Both worked great. Be aware that the spoon's edges aren't all rounded, which makes it a little difficult to get that last bit of gravy. Again, once you learn how to make it work, it does. The tools fold up compactly and fit into the handy included belt pouch. When I head into the outdoors and might have to eat something, I'll grab this with confidence. A word of caution: don't leave this tool (or any other knife or tool) in its case when you store it long-term. The case holds moisture, which can cause rust. Finally, be aware that this isn't intended to be a general-purpose pocket knife or multi-tool. It's intended for eating. The knife is almost impossible to open without taking the fork section off. If you want a great, compact, go-anywhere flatware set, I can recommend this one. ... show more
