Great gloves. I put my gloves through the ringer almost every day. The "tech" gloves with tight, snug fits have their place, but they never last more than 2 or 3 months. Once sparks from an angle grinder start hitting the non leather parts, they are finished within a few minutes. These gloves on the other hand can handle sparks, hot steam, grease, oil, dirt, grime, stone dust, sharp metal edges, and they last for months and months. Usually about a 9 months to a year. They usually get too dirty or greasy before they start tearing at the seams and I have to buy a new pair. But by far, these are the best work gloves I've ever used. ... show more

These Wells Lamont gloves are thick leather that last me 3 - 6 months depending on how hard I work them. The stitching is very durable and the right thumb is normally what wears a hole first. (Recently the sizing seems slightly small - I wear a medium to large & the large size is pleasantly snug until they stretch with wear.) I have used these gloves for 3 years & highly recommend them. Plan to use the gloves for working on large brush piles - haven't used them yet but overall they appear to be good quality and fit good and feel good. Anxious to put them to the test. So far I'd say for the price, the gloves are right.

I wasn't expecting the quality of these work gloves to be too great based on their price. These are true tough and rugged leather work gloves. The first thing I noticed when opening the box was the smell of real leather. I then poked, pulled, and prodded at the leather especially focusing on the seems. They were strong and durable. I have worked (1) 8 hour shift of delivering packages (basically loading and unloading heavy boxes and packages) from what I can tell these will perform nicely. They will also get softer and more comfortable with use. If they were any nicer I would feel hesitant about working in them. ... show more

This is what this pair of gloves look like after only THREE days of cutting and splitting wood. As you can see one finger is worn through completely and the others show signs of high wear. These gloves are very comfortable and would probably do well for light garden work but not for heavy duty use. Still looking for a pair of work gloves that will last. ... show more
