For years, I've been using leather gloves from my local hardware store for working around the house and for manipulating campfires. With campfires, it's always been dash in, try to move the ... quickly and dash out, often with my wife or friends warning that I'm going to get burned. The leather on these gloves is at least twice as my work gloves and the gloves come up almost to my elbow. I've moved logs with red hot coals without feeling the heat. I haven't held them long but much longer than with any other glove I've used. Very nice. Nitpicking - for my use, grey leather would have been better. These are so pretty when you get them, then you move some coals and get ash on them.

These gloves fit great , and offer plenty of protection . i am still nursing a large blister from christmas Eve when i decided life is too short to wait until next year for the gas install , so i fired up the new fire pit for my niece , nephew and family without much prep and paid for it with a large blister . for New Years Eve i was all set and these Gloves are = to my spatula on the grill . they go way up your arms and are nice and thick , yet you can still grab stuff . they look like black suede , and match my bowling shoes lol . 1/4/19 they seem to be well made . i will only update if i have a problem , as of now i would highly recommend if you want that extra protection .

I had cycled in a pair of brown welding gloves that were turning blacker and blacker while loading my Vermont castings wood burner. These gloves fit nice and seem well-made.

They're pretty darn good for the price. They seem to be made really well and I love how long they are but you still have to be careful when blacksmithing. Even when metal is at a black heat it'll burn your fingers if you aren't careful. I realize these aren't Kevlar gloves so I can't hold hot steel but they work well enough for me. They haven't burned or fell apart yet and I've been handling some pretty hot steel around the forge.

I wish all gloves were made with the quality of these. I use primarily for the woodstove, and they have been used multiple times each day throughout three winters and still holding up great. Good heat resistance, great fit (size Large fits like a real size large, not tight), all stitching is still intact and good dexterity for something that protects so well. I also weld and would be confident using them for that purpose as well.

Look no further. These are the gloves you want. I use them with my wood burning stove and even after a lot of use, they look brand new. I can add logs and touch the handle without burning myself when I use these gloves. The hand size and arm length are perfect for a man with large hands and a woman with smaller hands to both use comfortably. Awesome product and good price!

I just bough a second pair of these to use as oven mits! I was tiered of my kitchen aid oven mits burning me and causing me to rush to get things set down. With these, i can take hot things out of the oven and take my time safely putting them down. I also have another pair i use for mig and stick welding. They are awesome! With enough dexterity and heat resistance. I use those for campfires too when i need to grab burning wood or coals to stoke the fire real quick. Great gloves!
