I use these gloves for both my living room fireplace (wood burning) and my patio fire pit. I burn wood during the months of October through May, and as of this date 10/12/2025, the Kim Yuan gloves look brand new. The stitching has held up fantastically through the use and the gloves themselves show no wear and tear. A better bargain for under $18.00 you will not find. If this brand of fireplace gloves sold for triple the price THEY WOULD THIS BE A TERRIFIC BARGAIN.

This is my third pair of these gloves. I use them for putting wood in my stove. Durability is great, my last pair lasted for over a year. I have small hands and the gloves are a little big but the grip and flexibility are good so that isn’t a problem. Will continue to buy these gloves as long as available.

I just bough a second pair of these to use as oven mits! I was tiered of my kitchen aid oven mits burning me and causing me to rush to get things set down. With these, i can take hot things out of the oven and take my time safely putting them down. I also have another pair i use for mig and stick welding. They are awesome! With enough dexterity and heat resistance. I use those for campfires too when i need to grab burning wood or coals to stoke the fire real quick. Great gloves!

Purchased for husband after he requested gloves to protect his hands while adding firewood into burning fires in fireplace. These work to protect his hand and forearms. He has not attempted to hold his gloved hand in a burning fire for a long duration of time. The purpose of the gloves are to protect his limbs from the fire for a few short seconds. If you are looking to purchase this item to hold your limbs in a fire for a longer duration, I would recommend researching fire resistant apparel. He approves of these gloves. They are well made, nicely fit, and stitching is reinforced.

At my restaurant we have to clean out the broiler every night after closing . It has these huge heavy catch trays that are boiling hot by the end of the shift . We were using wet towels to handle them but someone was always getting burned . The broiler takes so long to cool down that just waiting until the trays were cool to the touch meant we would be there all night . So I said enough and bought these gloves to make the job bearable . Now cleaning the broiler is a breeze . You can't even feel the heat from the trays when cleaning them . Before we had to take off these heavy doors to get the trays out but these gloves handle heat so well that we can just reach in an access door and wank the trays out . I wish I had thought of buying these years ago . I don't know anything about welding but as far as broiler catch trays go these things are a life saver .

You can grab a burning log with these gloves. The only problem is that the fingertips get hotter than the rest of the glove, so if you can master holding something without using your fingers you will be golden.
