I bought these with intent to use them in case the original adhesive for some glow stars didn't work. I ended up use both. These transparent pads keep stuff on the wall nicely, I stuck one behind the heavier stars in my pack & haven't had a single fall.

I use these to hold the corners of pictures that are hanging on traditional hangers (the kind you nail into the wall) so the picture won't take up a tilt. So I'm not relying on them to hold something up, just to prevent motion. And for that, they seem to work well. I'd previously used a kind of yellow or green putty for the same purpose, but when the time came to remove those, they left a colored residue which was hard to remove. With these, I expect even if there is a residue, it will be invisible. The "dots" come off the plastic sheet just fine, but the paper backing is harder to get off. I was able to pull a corner off with my thumbnail on the square ones, but needed to use an Exacto knife (any knife would probably do) on the round ones. The instructions say these "dots" may damage painted walls, and that you should think carefully before using them. Since that's probably the main use for these, and I'm not sure what thinking carefully would do, I tested one on the painted wall in my workshop (which has had worse damage :)). It came off ok (no paint on the dot, and no sign of damage to the paint), but it was only on for a few minutes; it might be that if you have it on for a couple years, taking it off would be harder on the wall. I use these when I want to place a small decoration on my wall at home or post a flyer for an upcoming event on my door at work. I can't say how easy they are to remove because I haven't removed anything yet. Hopefully, they don't cause damage.

Getting the adhesive part off the pad/paper it's on was a little difficult, but it sticks very good. All the different sizes are very cool and useful

    • Powerful without damaging walls
I am very impressed with these, I am using them to hang twinkle lights from the walls, and these are great. They are very strong, more stretchy than I had anticipated but it is good because it doesnt damage the paint on the walls when you rip it off. It can be pretty easily removed and put back on the wall 2 times, but after that the adhesion is too diminished and it wont hold much weight so you would need to use a fresh one. These do have a strong plastic chemical smell when removed from the bag, but it fades quickly and isnt really an issue. Overall these are great for most hanging needs. ... show more

These work ok but be sure you don't try to hang anything heavier than a couple of ounces. This is for very light duty work, but for that they work really well.

This sticky substance is rubbery. This makes it possible to pick and peel it off of hard, smooth surfaces like melamine and glass without a trace. It is quite sticky so the manufacturer rightly cautions about trying to remove it from painted surfaces since it might take the paint off. It comes precut into useful sizes and shapes.
