I bought this to use at the gym for squats and deadlifts for lower back support to help prevent injury and the fact that I am old. I have a 33-34 waist and the large was too small. I could not even get the very last end of the Velcro to catch. I had to return it and buy a XL size to get it to properly fit me, so the sizes do run small. Once I got the right size, it has worked well for me for several months. I am happy with it and would buy again.
