I've been a Weber fan for many years. They just hold up and cook better. I also always go with the cast iron cooking grates. We now have natural gas at our house and I wanted a grill that was designed to operate with this. This model fit the bill with a lot of options that got my attention. I like the Weber connect feature, the fold-down warming rack, heavy-duty casters, the light options etc. etc. I also like that you can either use it without any power source, use a portable power bank or plug it in. I've used it each way so far. Everything works just as it should (haven't tried the searing feature just yet). My older propane Weber is going to my son, he should get a few more years out of it without a problem. ... show more

Unboxing the Genesis EPX-335 was easy; a little over whelming with the number of parts, but the insturctions were easy to follow and all parts were there as diagramed. Spent about 5 hours taking my time in assembling. Looking forward to many enjoyable dinners cooked on this Weber Genesis EPX-335.

It is time to purchase a new grill. I don’t have to think of other brands because Weber continues to last the longest with minimal maintenance. I expect the same with this one. I am aware that the heat content of LP and natural gas are different. Years ago the burners on natural gas grills barely produced enough heat to grill like one did with LP. With this new natural gas Weber there is more than enough heat to sear and cook. I purchased the delivery and assembly service. The time frame was 9:00 am to noon. The grill arrived at 9:10 am and the two drivers went to work immediately. I believe they were done in about two hours. Much better and easier than assembling it myself. The Weber grill is a good high-end grill but Weber has made the assembly really frustrating. The assembly instructions are written without meaningful text so it is Ikea-like instructions all the way. The cryptic assembly instructions involve 64 different steps involving parts that are not well-identified. The grill came with two key parts (grease tray and rails) that didn't fit the grill. Weber agreed to send me the right ones which took ten days. The assembly process required four call to Weber technical support. In each case the rep was friendly and helpful. I was going to use my grill and noticed the plastic needs to be removed. I can't get it off. Expensive grill with tight plastic film you can't remove. Makes awful marks on my brand new really expensive grill. Not at all happy. Bad idea. Why doesn't the people who set up remove this? I'm not sure it was made for a regular person to pull off. Grill is amazing and the features are advanced however 4 stars for the fact the external power source feature doesnt work as a plug and play. Weber gives you a work around instead…. Seems like something simple error due to it being a first year feature.
