Full disclosure, I haven't actually used this yet for recording or photography. But I have assembled it and attached a phone and a GoPro just to see what it's like, and I can say with confidence that it feel solid as a rock! The phone attachment and GoPro attachment work like they should, the joints lock into place nice and tight, you can get any angle you want. Seems great! The only thing I haven't explored is clamping it to a desk or table or whatever to see how well it grips. If that part turns out bad, I'll come back and update this review for sure, and I'll be testing that soon. Right now, I'm really impressed with the quality of the workmanship and materials. UPDATE: Fastened it to a desk, felt solid, even screwed a selfie stick to it to make it longer and attached my GoPro to that and it still didn't budge. Seems good

I especially love this product because I can use it for my webcam or my phone to make excellent training videos for my crochet students. It is very mobile and it attaches to many surfaces. I love how the rotation of the arm and the sturdiness of the arm once put in place. I would definitely recommend this product for those individuals making videos.

Things that I like about this product: -Easy to set-up and move. Even though I work from home and have an office space/desk, sometimes I need to move my camera. It is easy to release it from my desk and move it to where it needs to be. Also, the little rubber cushions are great, there hasn't been any damage to any surface I clamp this on. -Before I purchased this, I rested my webcam on my laptop and it would move or slide down. All in all, not a stable solution. Now, with this arm, once I set my camera angle, it. does. not. move. It's reliable and stable. Things that I struggle with: -I have a difficult time getting it set-up. With 2 articulating parts, I have to adjust them individually and together to get the right location. Fortunately, my webcam also has 2 hinges, which means I can fine-tune my set up with the camera. And I found the sweet spot that works for me, it just took a while and some playing around with what worked.

Extremely happy with this purchase. It’s exactly what I needed and at a great price. I have a fairly deep desk at 36” so I was concerned the “reach” of this arm wasn’t going to be enough, but it’s plenty long enough. Holds my webcam perfectly using the included ballhead. I tried a number of different positions and adjustments to get the angle I wanted, and this arm accommodated every option for me. The clamp is sturdy and the adjustable pivot points all hold really well. No cable management but a few velcro straps holds my cable down just fine. The only downside to this type of arm is that it isn’t adjustable “on the fly”. You need to adjust everything and set it where you want, and that’s where it stays. No real option to swing the arm up/down or side to side without first loosening the hinges. But I didn’t want something I could move around anyway. Wanted to position my camera appropriately for meetings and leave it where it is. So overall, great quality, highly recommend.
