I've been using a Logitech Streamcam since its release and have mostly liked it. It works great in good conditions, but shifted to a more enclosed area with very little natural lighting. And ever since doing that, I've had trouble with it washing out the picture if there's artificial light, or being too dark if there's not. I have a mostly Elgato lighting set up (2 key lights and a light strip) as well as a stream deck. The Logitech has never had good software, but that wasn't a big deal until recently. Given the streamcam was good enough. I am teach undergraduate and graduate students almost entirely online, so I wasn't needing a professional setup, just for meetings, zoom, and recording videos (using xsplit with a small video of me in the corner of a presentation). Recently, the lighting frustration bothered me more and more and I saw this Mk.2 release. I decided to try it out and see if it was an improvement. Yes, yes it was very much. While the lighting isn't perfect, the overall quality is so much better I have no regrets at all about shifting to a similar range alternative. The low light works great, the overall image and recording is better, and the software is far and away more user friendly. I can control many functions through my stream deck, making for more dynamic adjustments on the fly in presentations, online live sessions, etc. Comes with a pretty thick 3.0 USB cable, but if you have a USB C slot in your computer you're wanting to use you'll need to buy your own. I feel like I did a lot of research on a new webcam. I use my camera every day as part of my job, so it was a very thoughtful purchase for me. I had the Logitech C920, which was a fantastic camera on a budget or for someone less invested in their camera quality. But for me, it was time for an upgrade. I searched and searched and read review after review and top 10 lists and reddit pages, but I finally settled on a choice between the Elgato Facecam MK.2 or the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite. The final straw was when I was watching a video comparing the two side by side and I blind-chose the Elgato every time. (The youtuber chose the OBSBOT, but he had a referral link to buy one in the description soooooo...) This is a fantastic camera. Really, I just wanted something higher resolution with better camera settings to accommodate a less professional lighting setup, but I got more. With this camera, I don't need anything else. I have this fantastic standing green screen that I absolutely love. Don't need it now. I have this great lighting setup I paid a chunk for. Don't need it. The Elgato Facecam MK.2 is hands-down one of the best webcams I’ve used, especially for streaming and content creation. The image quality is incredibly sharp right out of the box — no graininess, no blown-out highlights, and the colors look natural without needing hours of tweaking. Low-light performance is where this webcam really shines. Even in a dim room, the MK.2 keeps the picture clean and detailed without turning everything muddy or noisy. The autofocus is fast and reliable, and the improved sensor makes a noticeable difference from the original Facecam. Another major plus is the Elgato Camera Hub software. You get full manual control — shutter speed, ISO, white balance, etc. — just like a real camera. Once you dial in your settings, the camera remembers them even across reboots, which is a lifesaver for streamers. Build quality is solid, the mount is sturdy, and it integrates smoothly with OBS and all major streaming platforms. For the price, it’s an excellent middle ground between generic webcams and expensive mirrorless camera setups. If you want professional-looking video without dealing with capture cards and giant cameras, the Facecam MK.2 is absolutely worth it. Pros: Good software, "camera hub" has plenty camera settings from shutter speed to white balance. Good enough video quality for the price, though you have to adjust the camera settings for the best results. Cons: Bad quality control, the webcam that I got has a dead pixel in the middle (it's more like a stuck blue pixel), especially noticeable when your doing digital zoom. ... show more

This camera actually sucks ass. If you are buying it for streaming.. don't waste your money. For some reason, when its ran through obs.. it absolutely HATES light. Even when there's no light, its fuzzy and blurry. adding filters make it worse. for the price they want you to pay you might as well put your money in a shredder and call it a day. Elgato makes some decent equipment but this this is actually dog water. AFTER, buying this every youtuber/all videos I've researched they say the same thing. DONT BUY THIS! ... show more

I like these so much, I bought two. These cameras create clear picture and with the software allow zoom control during live shows. They easily connected to the computer and are adjustable through the software. The color quality in the camera is good.
