We create three types of content. Lives (streaming/Twitch), shorts (TikTok), and long form content (YouTube). This camera has changed how we produce all of our content, for the better. 1. The camera is actually good. The lens is a 23mm f/1.8. If you know about camera lenses, then you know how much that alone could cost. We've tried a few different cameras over the years and this one is seriously good for the price. 2. Our workflow while we record in the shop is so much more efficient because of the AI tracking features. The time we spent moving one camera from place to place in the shop is now just placing the camera in an angle that can see most of our workspace and then we use hand gestures to track and zoom. 3. Connectivity is easy since there are multiple ways to connect the tail air. You can plug in the camera via the USB-C cable and start filming or you can connect via (NDI license which can be purchased separately) or even a USB to ethernet adapter. 4. OBSBOT has a remote control for the system too, so you could control all features of the tail air from a distance that way, if your content limits that ability to use hand gestures. Those are just the quick good points. We use the camera as our main streaming camera. The tail air can integrate with our stream deck allowing us to have quick buttons for different angles of the room, different preset zoom points, and quick AI tracking. Since the tail air has all of these features, we have eliminated all the other cameras from our streaming setup. In the OBSBOT App you can control all camera settings, like your ISO, shutter speed, auto focus, white balance, and frame rates. You can even go as far as to apply your temperatures, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness to the video being recorded. While the $499 price tag may seem high initially, I can assure you that you will not get this quality of camera, with all these features, for anywhere close to this amount anywhere else. ... show more

Because the 4K resolution produces images that are both clear and vivid, it is ideal for video conferencing, live streaming, and the development of new material. This camera guarantees that every detail is captured with incredible clarity, whether I'm on a Zoom chat with coworkers or generating material for my YouTube channel. The tracking and auto-focus capabilities enabled by AI are two of the most impressive aspects of this camera. It is quite similar to having a personal camera already installed on the device. No matter how much I move about, the camera is able to follow my motions and keep me on the screen thanks to its clever tracking capabilities. This comes in very handy during presentations and video conferences, when I want to seem professional but don't want to have to modify the camera angle all the time. Even if I move around or if there are numerous individuals in the picture, the auto-focus can keep everything in perfect focus because of its lightning-fast speed and pinpoint accuracy. The quality of my video footage as well as the quality of my online meetings have been greatly enhanced by this function alone. Another fantastic improvement is that there are now twin omnidirectional microphones included. The recording quality is excellent, and it captures my speech with an impressive degree of precision while simultaneously reducing the amount of ambient noise.     • Would Have Given 5 Stars, but...

I would have given this product 5 stars, but one specific feature of the camera is only available through the virtual camera output (UVC mode). The feature I'm referring to is the Beauty Filter. "I need beauty filter," screams my face. So, let's say you want to just record to the Micro SD card in the camera; you have the beauty feature turned on, your face is looking just the way you want it, and then you hit record. It will not record with the beauty features you had in place. Your face will look like it normally does (without the beauty changes you thought you were recording). For me and anyone seeing my videos, that SUCKS. To achieve the beauty feature, you have to set the camera into UVC mode and output it to a program such as Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). I was very tempted to give this product 3 stars just for this, but outside of this "failed / missed opportunity" everything else works quite well. I don't really think it's worth the hefty $500 price tag either; maybe $300 tops. Last thing I want to point out is the fact that even though there's an Auto-Off feature it doesn't always work. I had mine set to Auto-Off after 5 minutes of non-use while I left to watch tv. A little over an hour later, the battery died. It sat there the whole time (ON) until the battery died. Not cool. Speaking of "not cool," it gets VERY VERY hot. OBSBOT Official through Reddit told me this is normal and that I should put it on a metal surface and provide a flow of air to the bottom of the device if possible. Overall, if you have the money to spend, and you're not worried about the beauty filter / feature working only in UVC mode, you should consider trying the OBSBOT Tail Air camera! ... show more
