    • I think this will hold up until I can get a permanent structure!
My husband is a landscaper and our garage is completely taken over by his tools. I got this in hopes he’ll move his ride-on tractor and rechargeable tools out there so I can park my car in the garage this winter. Assembly was difficult by myself, but I accomplished it in a day…about 6 long hours. It would have been a lot easier if I waited until he was here and could help, but I wanted to surprise him. I did grab a neighbor for help once, but the rest I did on my own, so it’s possible. The parts are clearly numbered, and the instructions clearly showed exactly how the frame should be laid out and assembled. Some parts of the design are great and make assembly easier. For example, the tubes that make up the frame slid together easily and don’t require screws and bolts to join them. I should clarify, that would be easier if you had more than one person. For me doing it solo, it was difficult to keep the frame together as I continued to assemble whole shed. Having another person around to make sure it stayed together as we raised it would have made it easier. There are spots in the instructions that will have you muttering “why didn’t they have me do that before?!” Specifically when you’re directed to disassemble sections in order to assemble subsequent steps. A couple examples: to install the front, the instructions tell you to disconnect the cross bars from the middle and sides. You also have to undo cross bars to install the roof tarp. This seems like a waste of time at first, but it makes sense when you think about it (it’s hard to explain, but you’ll see!), so don’t try to shortcut any steps. This comes with anchors to secure the shed by screwing them about a foot into the soil, so plan for that when you pick your site. You could use the sand bags, but I don’t know that they’d keep the shed secure alone in New England winters. The anchors, combined with the sandbags should hold tight, although for now I just have the anchors in use and expect them to hold pretty well to the snow and wind, especially after tightening everything up with the ratchets. Here’s hoping this holds up for years to come! The tractor (aka ride on lawnmower) fits, which was my goal. I will add a workbench and an extension cord so he can charge the batteries for handheld power tools out there. I hope to find a way to store shovels and rakes and other gardening tools too. I’m worried about them leaning up against the sides and tearing it eventually, so I’ll need to devise a storage bin or something for them. But my point is that it’s roomy enough for me to even consider storing all this stuff. ... show more

The fully erected structure is exactly as described. The frame is heavy duty metal, the fabric sufficient and the mechanical pieces are made of quality metals and are easy to use. As far as assembly, which is the big issue with a project like this, setting up this shed is a days work, but nothing too difficult. Any one who can read and follow the directions can accomplish the task in one day, fairly easily. I had help, which I suggest, as there are several points during the process where four hands are definitely a plus. The instructions are in great detail and remarkably clear. Take your time. There are times when, once the frame is together, that you must dismantle parts of the frame in order to mount the fabric. This is not a mistake. Just follow the instructions and everything will become clear to you as you proceed. Finally, you MUST anchor the shed to prevent it from flying off in high winds. Conveniently, anchors are provided in your kit. Do not short-cut this step, It is essential to your success. However, if you intend to install on concrete, you will have to devise your own anchor system. Sand bags are provided in the kit, but frankly, I didn't trust them to hold the shed down. ... show more

The Weather Fast 8x8 Ft Outdoor Storage Shed Shelter is a complete and an affordable storage solution and ideal for smaller lots. I've setup multiple carport-sized storage sheds and this Kit has several improvements over the older kits, including the sandbags, screw-type ground stakes, and the ratcheting hold downs. Even though it's Summer, I have a lot of ground water that's keeping my yard green and I may replace the supplied ground stakes with longer stakes. Because of my age and my physical limitations, I'll need help but I see no reason for one, able-bodied person setting up this Storage Shed. ... show more

My husband and I were able to assemble this in just a few hours after work one evening. The directions are pretty simple to follow, all the polls are clearly numbered. The structure comes with some very long stakes that drill into the ground for safety and stability. The tarps have straps threaded through a sleeve that ratchet down to the legs.
