We used these for Autumn camping. We put the squares down on the tent floor to make it more comfortable and quieter to walk on and especially for insulating purposes under our air mattresses. Seems like a great product. I don't know yet about the durability. The lower floor of my house is partially below grade. Over the years there have been a few leaks, a couple of burst pipes and a couple of exterior drainage problems etc. Carpet has started to seem like a liability. After the most recent leak I removed the carpet. I was thinking about a suitable replacement. This seems to be it. I thought about 3/8" thick or 1/2" thick. I bought a small package of the 1/2" to try it out. I was concerned about it being too soft/subject to compression. It is in fact quite firm. So, I'm hoping to do maybe 300sq.ft. with this. I'm using it in an exercise area. I want to see how it holds up under my bench and dumb bells etc. It took me maybe 15 minutes to figure out how the pieces fit together. They only fit together one way. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it, like a pretty simple puzzle. I was worried about having enough of the edge pieces. Each tile came with two edge pieces, so I had one more than I needed for the four tiles I bought as a test. ... show more

We cleaned up and painting our basement this summer and the kids were asking for a gym area for themselves instead of constantly climbing on ours. These mats are perfect for a soft landing and the color looks great too! Easy to puzzle it together and have been great with dirt and messes.

overall these are good mats. the color, comfort, traction, and durability are all what I expect. measurement is really 7/16, but thats close enough to 1/2 in. the only con I have is that these mats aren't compatible with mats you might buy locally. these mats are cut from the other side, so the only way they will interlock with other mats is to flip one of them upside down. ... show more

Was looking for nice thick floor mats for kids playroom. These are a good size, thickness and color and feel really soft to walk on. Definitely will make play time a little safer than our hardwood floors did.

I like that it is big and thick. I use it in my daughter’s playroom. I ordered light gray color but they don’t have the same color tone. Others are dark and some light. One square is also thinner than the rest.
