Several people have said in their reviews that they got a used item. I do not think they are used items - mine too came with some grease on the handle, in the same place that others have shown in their pictures, so I think this is just a leak of grease from how they are either made or stored. Mine punched great, and I like the way the pegs hold the binding while you add pages. One thing I had trouble with was trying to get it to close the binding once I had added pages. I could not get the binding to sit correctly in order to press the edges together. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, so I have just been closing them by hand. As a punch, though it works well, and though it would be great to have an easier way to line up the holes (and the stopper for the top of the pages), it does what I want it to do. ... show more

It works fine but minus 2 stars for not being new and a dirty handle, I thought I was getting a new one with the cost but I guess not.
