My Bluestar range oven eats these starters up like chex mix. After paying $400 for the first replacement, I searched out this product. I have gotten between 1 & 2 years out of previous models and hope to get that or more from this one. The price is good, so I always keep an extra one in the drawer.

Well, this one lasted only 11 months. I am still chasing them trying to get that big one year guarantee. The cost is nothing compared to the agony of spending an hour with my head in the oven trying to reach this part. The advertisement is all BS. Most igniters work fine for about two years as advertised. However, none of these oven replacement igniters are made with a long service life. The original Kenmore oven igniter lasted over 15 years. I have ended up replacing my igniter every two years or so since the original igniter died. I can not find one with a long life. I am getting really fast at replacing them. Oh these igniters measure about 95 ohms new. Anything over 200 ohms will not work or ignite the oven. They need to be replaced even if they look OK. Seems like they are getting worse not better. This item worked great. I have a very old gas stove but its basically part of the family. Of course the parts are discontinued but this universal worked. Thank goodness for the ceramic connectors they included because I had to change the end connectors to fit my oven. Works great. Everyone thanks you for saving the Christmas cookies they look forward to every year!!

Part did NOT last a year. Started going bad around 8-9 months. No way to contact seller directly so we can utilize that 1 year warranty they offer. All links go back to Amazon which states that it's past the 30 day return policy. 1 yr warranty seems like a scam. I will have to purchase a new one. ZERO stars ๐
