I have been a surfer for 23 years and have always ridden shortboards. I've gone with small wave boards and big wave boards but I haven't transitioned to fishes or longboards or any other alternative designs. Until the 4'10" Wave Bandit! This thing is smooth, transitions well, gives good pop for airs, holds for barrels and makes small, soft waves really fun. Fun little foamie for even the mushiest of days. My little guy can catch long rides weaving around boogie boarders in ankle high surf... and sometimes mommy and daddy use it when he decides to take a break. Lightweight and easy for a kid to handle. Wax does help (you can buy soft top wax nowadays, too). :) ... show more

Hands down the best kitesurf surfboard I've tried. I can land all sorts of things on this board that I wouldn't stick on a normal epoxy board. It's pretty much the only board I ride now. Great board behind the boat too, but too small to prone paddle for an adult unless you are a machine like Ben Gravy. ... show more

Bought this for my boyfriend who is an avid surfer with an array of boards in different lengths and such. He loves it for smaller waves said it's like riding a skateboard in the ocean and he was super stoked that it had the twin fins! Very fun board overall
