Purchased as a gift for granddaughter to get into surfing. The board, see pic, has issues. first the center fin has issue preventing the foam plug installing flat and may cause comfort or steering issues. Secondly, the paint for the logos and striping on the deck was already rubbing off on first opening the box and became worse when used in water getting granddaughters rash guard stained with black paint. Lastly, the nose was bent in but the box was not damaged so it appears to have occurred at the factory, which means this is a construction issue that could occur to all products, which could also be said for the pain wiping off on clothing. Pretty sweet board overall. My daughter who was 9 at the time stood up and rode on her first attempt at riding a wave. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the black design/lettering started to smear and rub off. Would recommend for any beginning surfer.

I have been surfing on this board very frequently over the past few months. It's a lot of fun, both on small wave days and even larger wave days, provided you can get past the break on the larger days (it's a challenge sometimes with foam boards like these). Unfortunately today it snapped in half when I caught a wave the wrong way (maybe it dug into the sand or something, I'm not sure). It may have been unavoidable, but I have reason to believe the build quality might have something to do with it. I noticed that wooden stringers looked rotten on the inside after it broke. Not to mention the 8ft model comes with a defect that prevents the rear fin from being flush with the bottom of the board, which may or may not have allowed seawater to enter in and rot the wood. Either way, this defect needs to be fixed. Overall, it was a fun surfboard while it lasted. RIP. ... show more

There are many boards at this price point, which are total garbage. We have had to return a few different brands. This board is fantastic! High density, smooth surface and great at catching waves! We are considering buying another for friends/family visitors.

Very poor quality. We used it only 4 times and the bottom of the board delaminated. Looks like not enough glue was used during the manufacturing process. We were very disappointed and do not recommend this product.
