We’ve had this board over about a year. Been used quite a few times. It’s held up well. This was purchased for my teen son to learn on. Was great for his size (150lbs) but even I can use it. (220lbs). Over very pleased with it.

Having visited local surfshops and on-line vendors The Wavestorm is a GOOD product--all the necessary accessories you need for immediate use are included; looks great, nice lines and design, lightweight and as a lifelong surfer (since age 11, now 76) a soft top is perfect for my less frequent beach trips. I read the reviews and a good number of these cited damages when recieved. Mine had some too-the tail must have been jammed in upright position as the underside had a recessed furrow across the tail; the top of the tail had some compression "wrinkles".....overall this will not affect performance so I will accept it as the risk in purchasing online. Once again, this is a good product at a great price, I have to give props to Amazon because of their no hassle return/replace policy (so becareful not to damage the shipping box should your board have a defect. Get wet and enjoy! ... show more

This all started because my 9’6 log is in the shop damaged for the 2nd time in a few months and I have nothing to surf.. again.. I want a durable back up beater board. Never surfed a foamie in my life. I originally ordered the 9 foot. It was returned before I even received it due to damage. So I ordered the 8 foot. It arrived with the nose and tail smashed, the tail really bad. Even the plastic slick bottom is all smashed. It’s sad because I don’t know where you can buy a wavestorm in person anymore and it’s a great foamie. Amazon needs to quit hogging this market because they suck at handling boards. I was going to return the board but instead accepted a partial refund. I took the board out today in chest to shoulder high beach break and the board seemed to paddle and surf fine. Heck, maybe it’s more maneuverable with my custom tail rocker! ... show more
