I bought this board because it was the lowest price surfboard with leash that I could find on Amazon. I had zero surfing experience, and I could not even swim in the ocean (I could only swim in a pool or a very small lake where the water is still). However, I managed to stay afloat, ride in prone position and finally riding the waves standing up on this board without taking any surfing class (I learned from watching lots and lots of YouTube videos). So, I could say this board is perfect for adult beginners without any surfing experience. The quality is so-so. The fabric covering tears along the edge after a year (although there were 6-7 months of non-use), and in 6 months of using regularly, the leash would unravel in even very small waves, so it can be scary because I am a weak swimmer. However, I am buying it again because for my present ability, I cannot justify spending more than $250 for a surfboard. ... show more

We have garage stored this bored and used it only about 8 times. Always stored on its side and now it’s taking on water. Big water bubble in it. Our other wave storm started splitting at the tail.

Bought the Wavestorm as a board for my nephew. We only used a few times. As you can see, it’s not worth the 300 dollars plus shipping. Consider a different alternative.

This was my surfboard purchase and has held up during my first summer surfing. So far I've been out 6 times (I live 2 hours from the beach so it's quite a time investment otherwise I'd have gone more) and the board head held up to both surfing and the 2 hour ride each way strapped down in the bed off my Jeep Gladiator. There are some slight indentations in the foam top where I tend to plant but has not caused any problems. As for surfing, I've had no problem transitioning from the 9 and 10 ft boards from the lesson/rental shop to this 8ft board. The board is a bit narrower than what I had been using, but after a couple waves I be was able to get comfortable on it. The board is light and easy to carry if you have long enough arms (as I do) but my wife has to carry hers above her head (but she has no problem with that because of how light it is). I handle in the board would be nice for future versions. The claim that you don't need to wax the board also seems to be holding up. I haven't noticed the board getting more slippery. To be fair and not just say everything is awesome I have mixed feelings about the companies customer support. I purchased a second board for my wife and the bottom separated after her first day on it. I contacted customer support, and they responded promptly but they only suggested I return the board to Amazon since I was still in the return policy window. Maybe they have an agreement to use Amazon in this way but feel they could have done more to directly support their product. The rep did also suggest I could hot glue it, but didn't feel that would hold up in salt water. The replacement board has held up so seems to just be a one off problem. Given the price, if the board can hold up for a summer I think I'll be satisfied at it's current price point compared to others that cost $500 plus.
