I always find it hard to figure out which of these kinds of devices of the ones I should get. I'm pretty happy with this order because the quality seems well executed. The machining seems good. The graduations are clearly etched. And the plastic block is well polished, although that's not necessarily an indication of good performance. I don't have a primary calibrator so I don't have a way of verifying how accurate the flow readings are, and it didn't come with instructions so I don't know where on the float to take the readings from. I have been looking for something like this since I started using supplemental Oxygen. I have a stationary Oxygen Concentrator that delivers up to 10LPMflow. I need 7LPM to move around but only 2LPM while sitting. The hose from the stationary concentrator connects at the bottom, the cannula hose connects at the top. With my stationary concentrator set to 7LPM this inline flow meter allows me to reduce the level of oxygen to 2 LPM while sitting and sleeping. When I have the inline flow meter set 2 LPM , my stationary concentrator will show that it is putting out 2 LPM, when I adjust the inline flow meter to 7 LPM the concentrator will show 7LPM. The only issue I've found is the connectors on the flow meter are larger than the hose connectors, making it difficult to keep the hoses on while moving around. I solved that by using a male to female swivel connector. I put the female end of the connector into very hot water to allow it to stretch to fit firmly on the flow meter. I do not allow the flow meter to drag on the floor when moving about. I will not use my continuous flow stationary concentrator without it. My nose feels better. ... show more

This is nice flow meter with standardized connectors. The flow restrictor dial is nice for limiting the flow of pressurized gas (so this use case is two-fold, measuring and restricting flow). There are no mounting holes beyond the hex heads on the barbs, so you will need to come up with your own mounting (e.g. adhesive tape). Unfortunately, I do not have the means to properly test if this is calibrated, so it's possible the measurement accuracy is off. Note that operating pressure is limited to .6MPa / 87PSI; results may be inaccurate after exceeding this pressure or could permanently damage the device (I'm not sure what the failure case is). Moisture buildup is possible if the air supply is humid and the flow meter is cooler than the air, so I would recommend having a dryer filter. ... show more
