Description

The Apera Instruments PC60 Multi-parameter Tester simply tests pH, EC (conductivity), TDS (ppm), salinity (ppt) &temperature in a highly quick & professional manner for all kinds of general water solutions such as hydroponics, horticulture, aquaculture, pools& spas, drinking water, water treatment, cooling towers, environmental monitoring, education, etc. The multi-parameter probe is replaceable and easy to install. 1 to 3 points of Auto Calibration and 0 to 50˚C Auto Temperature Compensation (ATC), 0. 01 pH, 1% F. S, 0. 5˚C accuracy with -2. 00 to 16. 00 pH & 0 to 20. 00 mS/cm measuring range, auto recognition and reminders of stable values improves consistency, saving you the trouble of guessing when to manually hold measurement (auto. hold function available). Easy menu setting, customizing your tester’s functions according to your needs. Smart self-diagnosis, warning of out-of-range measurement and incorrect calibrations. IP67 waterproof and dustproof, floating on water so you don’t have to worry if it falls into water by accident. Up to 1000 hours' continuous operation (without backlit) powered by AAA batteries (with low power warning and auto power off in 8 min if no operation)es with a complete kit of premixed calibration solutions (4. 00 and 7. 00), soaking solutions (3M KCL), calibration bottles, AAA batteries, and a lanyard all in a portable carrying case. The meter is CE certified and comes with a 2-YEAR (6 months for the probe). NOTES: The instrument will NOT perform well for distilled or deionized water's pH measurement ( works well for conductivity). This is because distilled and deionized water do not have enough ions present for the electrode to function properly in pH measurement. To measure distilled or deionized water’s pH, users need to use a specialized pH meter such as Apera SX811-PW. Do NOT store the probe in distilled water or deionized water because they will cause damage to the glass membrane of the pH probe. Only use distilled water for rinsing the probe. Refer instruction manual before use.

  • Well respected in the grow community
Style: PC60 5-in-1 Combo Meter Pattern Name: Tester Kit
Great product! Very accurate! Just wish they would make the kit big enough to be include the 10. ph calibration liquid and container. Other than that it’s all good 😊.

  • Best Meter I’ve Had for Hydroponics
Style: PC60 5-in-1 Combo Meter Pattern Name: Tester Kit
I love this instrument. Very easy to use, quality feel and build. I used to have a Bluelab and found it to be glitchy and need calibration a lot. Have also tried cheaper meters which don’t give stable readings or just break. This thing is what you want for hydroponics. A+ One thing to note is that it comes from the factor set to PPM700 scale. If you want your PPM to read on the 500 scale (which is most common the US) you’ll need to adjust the settings (easy to do). ... show more

  • Good pocket meter for measuring nutrient pH and concentration as well as measuring runoff.
Style: PC60 5-in-1 Combo Meter Pattern Name: Tester Kit
I bought this combo meter to replace my Hannah Instruments combo pH and EC meter. I like that the price is less and it comes with a carrying case. I've had zero issues because I read the instruction manual and troubleshooted any error codes (yes, just 2 codes but still very helpful for me.). Some reviews on here about calibration issues could've been from people too lazy to read the manual or not competent to understand. I'm a laboratorian (med lab scientist) and I do calibrations and measurements all the time and I love this meter. I always use a colorimetric pH indicator in tandem when determining my final pH after mixing all my nutrients. I've had zero issues so far with this meter. No meter lasts forever but I like the precision and accuracy I've been getting with this combo meter. I hope it can last longer than the Hannah combo one I had. I'd buy it again if it lasts at least 2 years, my meters get some use/abuse. I prefer a good pocket meter over a bench meter because I like to measure the pH of all my runoff without having to collect and label samples. ... show more

  • Greatest ph ec ppm & salinity meter i've used thus far!
Style: PC60 5-in-1 Combo Meter Pattern Name: Tester Kit
Very accurate reader! After buying 2 cheap ph meters on amazon, and buying an ec meter that was immensely outnof whack, i caved on the apera. This model has the ability to run multiple tips. PH only (PH60-E, PH60F-E, and PH60S-E). Along with the prepacked, PC60-E. So far im a tech junkie and i love everything apera has to offer! Very simple to use... i went through the calibration process (which wasnt as necessary, as it read just about 0.1 or 0.2off). So first handy little feature in calibration, it NOT ONLY autodetects your ph medium and ec medium, when it pinpoints which ph or ec you use? It gives you a little itty bitty smiley face to let you know it is ready for next step in calibration. Hit the button and you're done with it! When using it? You hold it in the sample long enough, so a smiley face pops up. Once it does? That is your ph, or ec, or ppm, or salinity. Really loving the simplicity! The reason why i jumped on this unit are rave reviews in hydroponics forums. For the price... you cant really beat the quality of this apera unit! ... show more

  • Great investment!
Style: PC60 5-in-1 Combo Meter Pattern Name: Tester Kit
I'm giving this 5 stars even though I had to return and replace the first one I bought. It worked great for about a week and a half. Then the blue backlight no longer worked and despite calibrating it multiple times, the PH of the water kept getting different readings that were too far apart (using the same glass of water and rinsing the probe in distilled water + drying it before testing again). I contacted Apera, outside of Amazon, to see if I should return it or if I was doing something wrong and they emailed me back the next day. Their suggestion was to return it because it was defective. That was great customer service. I requested a replacement through Amazon and they said it would take 4 days to get the new one. It got here 2 days later. We were very impressed and surprised. So far the new one is doing everything it is supposed to. It is easy to read, easy to adjust and the backlight is a nice added touch. Backlight: Blue is when you are measuring your water. Just so you can read it in the dark if you have to. You can go into setup to adjust if you want the backlight always on, always off or on for 1 minute when you press the power button. Green backlight is when you are calibrating the probe itself and will not come on any other time. The kit came with 4 and 7 calibration solution along with 2 other conductivity calibration solutions, a probe cap that can be used to store the probe in the storage solution (also included in the kit, but it's really tiny and goes fast), plus a lanyard. Be sure NOT to get the 2 black probes wet with the storage solution. Only the clear ball should be in the storage solution. We don't really use the lanyard...it just seems to get in the way for us. In the kit comes the instruction/owner's manual along with a laminated card that is a step by step guide to calibrating the probe. It's large and perfect when you are working around liquid. The Apera website has videos for you to watch if the instructions seem a bit confusing. If you are doing any type of hydroponic gardening, this is a great investment to have. It provides PH, Conductivity, TDS (ppm reading) and Salinity measurements. UPDATE: I accidentally ruined the probe by allowing the 3M KCI soaking dilution to touch the 2 black bars. BE SURE TO NEVER LET THE BLACK PROBES TOUCH THE KCI SOLUTION WHEN NOT IN ISE AND SOAKING. ONLY THE CLEAR GLOBE SHOULD BE IN THE SOLUTION. It took a while for it to fail, but it was not the fault of the product. I ordered a replacement probe from Amazon and it’s working like new. I put a piece of painters tape on the probe cap so I know how high the KCI solution can be withoufht touching the black bars. Easy to change out as well. ... show more
