Have had cheaper pens that have not lasted even with careful use. This pen has lasted through two seasons of almost daily use. Very accurate - hits test solutions perfectly. The extra money spent is worth it unless you like replacing pens every year.

They claim that this pen is waterproof and as soon as it dropped in the water it floated but stopped working immediately you can see the water in the screen im pissed off this pen cost almost $100 the cheaper brands is so much better i will no longer ever purchase a blue lab product and i don't believe all the reviews this pen sucks New update 2-5-24 - After opening the battery compartment and removing the battery i shaked the pen up and down to remove the water from out of it then i sat it in my warm grow room in front of a small portable heater for 3 days installed the same battery and screwed the top back on and the pen is working correctly as if nothing happened the reason i gave it just 4 stars is because the pen shouldn't get filled with water and become unusable being that the company says there fully waterproof and especially for how much it cost Late Update Sorry: I opened the battery compartment and took it out and i vigorously shaked the pen then i left it opened in front of a small heater in my grow room for a couple days and it works perfectly still to this day with no problems at all although the pen is waterproof water can still get through the cracks through the battery compartment

This company is great and has long lasting and accurate products. I use all their devices as I deal with a cash crop. I have tried other brands early on only to find them to be inaccurate and a short life. I have dealt with their customer service and they stayed in touch until a service check was done on one of my pens. It ended up that the pen was not faulty and the promptly returned my pen working flawlessly. I have come to trust bluelab’s product line and will not be changing where I choose to spend my money. I recommend this to any new grower to prevent failures in the field.

2 years later I started having issues but the company stood by their warranty. Megan from customer support is by far the best customer service person in the business. Great products that ar reasonably priced! every Blue lab product I have bought performs excellent. This EC meter is easy to use & Read.It feels like it is well built. you can get a $ 20 meter somewhere else but you will have replace every year or 2 . When dealing with something as important as EC & PPM for your plants or whatever,get the trusted name proven from years of well built products, Blue Lab.
