I have the waterdrop water filter system installed, and the filter was supposed to last 2 years. I got this replacement filter since it is time. It is the first time I am replacing the waterdrop filter so I didn't know what to expect. I can say that it was extremely easy. After shutting off the water valve and draining any water in the faucet, the old filter was a quick quarter turn to remove and another quick quarter turn to install. The instruction included was very clear and easy on what to do. I was nervous that it was only a quick quarter-turn to tighten the filter, so I checked on it over the next two weeks to make sure there were no leaks. There were no leaks at all. I have 2 of these inline systems in my home, one in my bathroom connected to my faucet and an inline water flosser on the faucet tap and the other is in the cabinet next to the refrigerator. I don't really "need' this on my bathroom, but it is there and it makes flushing my refrigerator filter MUCH easier. Instead of getting 30 or 40 glasses of water (3G) from the fridge to flush a new filter, I put the new filter in my bathroom and ran the faucet for 10 minutes. Then I put my newly flushed filter into the cabinet for the refrigerator water/ice. I recently purchased a new refrigerator, and the filter made the water taste disgusting. I am so grateful that they made a bypass filter, so I immediately purchased that, and I am back to having good tasting ice and water at the fridge. This is a 2-year filter, but I may let it go for even 3 years as I have a whole house sediment and charcoal filter in the garage before it even hits these filters. We don't use all that much ice or drink that much water from the fridge. These filters are certainly better priced than the MFRS, they last longer and install is easy. If you are using these for the refrigerator instead of the MFR's filters, install a shut off valve just before your waterdrop to make changeout easier so you don't have to move the appliance to shut the water off. You would want to get the one with the push to connect thin white tubing. Quick connect shut off valves for 1/4' tubing are sold here on Amazon for cheap. A little bit of water will come out no matter what during changeout, but you will only need a washcloth to wipe it up. ... show more

I had one issue with the first filter I bought. It's rated to last for 2 years and it only lasted 6 months. The water pressure completely dropped after 6 months which made it unusable so I had to buy another one. The filter works great! I use this as a stand alone filter in my bathroom. The water tastes good. I also have a different Waterdrop filter TSA 3 stage system. That filter essentially has three filters that hang down. The first filter in that system is a sediment catcher. The next filter is a granulated carbon filter. I replaced the last filter with one of these filters to reduce that setup to .01 micron filtration. This filter and the one I replaced have the same connections. My system works great with that change. For all the people who complain that their filters clog up too fast, your filter is working. It just means it is working too well for your application. You either need to get a filter with a larger pore size or install a prefilter as your water has too many particulates in it that clog the filter. One cannot see particulate below 35 microns in size without a microscope. Even if your water looks clear, it can have a lot of particles that are between 35 microns and .01 microns that will clog it up fast. ... show more

Had this system for less than a year and had to change filter a few months later even though it claimed that'll it last a year. Bought this a couple of weeks ago and at first the flow rate was very good and 2 weeks later it's already slowing down. Disappointed. Will have to look for something else after this one clogs up. Update: Company reached out and offered a replacement as they have noticed that I wasn't happy with the last filter I purchased. The last one I purchased might just have been a defect and hopefully this replacement will work and last as claimed. For their great customer service (Constatine) I have updated the rating to 5 stars. Update #2: Had to change this back to 2 stars. They sent me 2 replacement filters and the first one I installed lasted about 5 weeks and the second one I installed in early May is already clogged. I've noticed that the new ones are white and the ones they sent me (black ones) might have been ones they wanted to get rid of. I can't comment on the white ones but the black ones don't last as long as they claim. Update #3: They reached out to me last week (March 17, 2022) a year or so after I used their filter system to ask if I wanted to try their new and improved filters. Unfortunately I'm using a new system that is working so far and had to decline their offer. The service team were very nice and generous and sent me an Amazon gift card for all the troubles I had in the past. Definitely a company that cares and tries to satisfy their customers. I got this to replace a filter I installed almost 3 years ago. It was very simple to take the old one out and replace it with this one. I noticed the difference in the taste of the water right away. I replaced the old one pretty much to the day that it was recommended. I do so.
