Beautiful, and well made fountain. It has a very large reservoir, but once you place the rocks, there is no way of telling how much water is in it. Like most fountains, evaporation is a big deal. This one doesn't need filling as often as ones I've had in the past, but they warn you not to let it run dry. Hence, we tend to over-fill it, and the way it's designed, water flows out of the covered up "cord" tube onto your surface. This begs a re-design or ability to check the water depth. Also, as others have stated, not as much water trickling noise as we'd like, far less than the fountain it replaced that was very similar in look and design.

This is a very nice fountain. It looks great on my back porch and has a lovely sound. Lilies look great and the base is solid. I have kept it running 24/7 over the past two weeks. There are six lily pads with the water cascading form pad to pad and ending up flowing over the rocks. When I first got it I filled the basin to the top and then turned it on and heard very little or no sound which had me worried. What I discovered is that the water, as in any fountain evaporates. My quite fountain all of a sudden began to make the running water sound I wanted to hear. The lesson learned is don't fill it to the top, leave about 2 inches and as the water reaches the bottom it will fall inside the container making the splashing sound. Here is a video of the sound....nice! Note one of the reviewers made a comment that it is hard to clean...so far this is not a problem. I bought from Amazon a fountain algaecide & clarifier called Fountec. All it takes is two drops per week to keep the water clean. Also this product is safe for animals in case they drink it. If you do need to take it apart, you simply remove the stones and lift off the lily pads, not a big deal, especially if you are outside.

I bought one of the other fountains a few years ago and it was of much better quality than this one. For $250 I got a fountain that had been opened and used, missing pieces, and scratched. I will be returning it. The sound is nice and it looks fine just cheaply made.

No complaints about this product. Lamps Plus promptly shipped it to us here in Hawaii. It arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. I like that it has a 10’ power cord, easier to route and hide than the 6’ cord on our old fountain. Beautiful finish. The water peacefully flowing in the cups and over the river rocks is a welcome addition to our courtyard and entrance. Highly recommend this fountain.

What I like about it: I wanted something different from your typical "rock formation" waterfalls. And most rock formation waterfalls has a flat back, so it looks better against a flat wall. This lily pad waterfall offers more of a 360-degree view. The bright copper color is eye catching, too. And I wanted something taller; at it's highest point it is 33 inches. After setting it up, it doesn't splash, which is great. Things to improve on: The fountain part (the lily pads and cattails) does not attach to the base; it just sits on top. This fountain is rated for outdoor use, but a gust of wind could blow it over. I do wish the foundation was heavier, again I have it outside. If the water reservoir is bigger, it would hold more water and therefore be heavier. I did think about putting a large rock or brick in the water reservoir, but that would mean there's less water in the reservoir, which means you would have to monitor it closely and refill it more often due to water evaporation. Things to note when you're purchasing this fountain: The cord is more like 9-foot long, but 1-foot of it is inside the fountain reservoir, so only about 8-foot is usable. (If the cord is too short, what I would do is buy one of those outdoor plugs that stake into the ground, that could give you a few extra feet of cord). Also, the river rocks in the pictures make it look like they are those large round river rocks. They're not. They're small, and not many of them. You can buy/find bigger ones if you want. UPDATE 21May2022: I downgraded to 1-star now. It has been only just two weeks, and the pump is making a lot noise. It sounds like it is about to quit on me. I looked inside, took out the pump to see if it was clogged; there was no debris but I still went ahead and gave it a thorough cleaning. Changed out the water, too. Plugged it back in. Still the same loud noise. I want to return it since I'm still within the time period. But it's large, the box is large, having to repack it, take it to the drop-off; it's just too much of a hassel. This thing is over $200, a least supply it with a heavy duty pump.

Just like in the photo. I have it on the side of the fireplace. Tall enough not to get lost on the hearth. Not difficult to assemble, but make sure you attach the tubing tightly to the pump. Right out of the box (be patient when unpacking, seems like everything is taped carefully to everything else) everything worked perfectly. So far it has been running non-stop for a week with no leaks, and no splashing. You will need to provide your own flattened river rock and distilled water when you set it up. Nice trickling water sounds—-audible but not overly loud, and NO pump sound unless you put your ear next to the reservoir. The pump is so quiet At first, I could only tell it was operating by feeling the minor vibration of the bottom. Holds about a gallon of water, does not requie refilling with any water until I topped it off on the third day of operation.
