Beautiful, and well made fountain. It has a very large reservoir, but once you place the rocks, there is no way of telling how much water is in it. Like most fountains, evaporation is a big deal. This one doesn't need filling as often as ones I've had in the past, but they warn you not to let it run dry. Hence, we tend to over-fill it, and the way it's designed, water flows out of the covered up "cord" tube onto your surface. This begs a re-design or ability to check the water depth. Also, as others have stated, not as much water trickling noise as we'd like, far less than the fountain it replaced that was very similar in look and design.

I had assumed that the basin would collect a small pond of water and serve as a birdbath. The recepticle that collects the water for recirculation is underneath the base and the basin never fills with water. I was disappointed with it, but found that using a small bowl in the basin helped make enough of a pool to attract the birds.

I'd looked at so many fountains, but had fallen in love with this one, so waited for it to come back in stock. The fountain is lovely, though shorter than envisioned, but I put it up on a small patio table and that works. The sound is a soothing trickle, and it's absolutely lovely whether it's on or off. The rocks that come with the fountain are--rocks. Nothing about them to add to decor, so I used some really pretty stones of different colors that were found around the property. The biggest shortcoming is that there is NO light incorporated into this fountain. I was very disappointed, so I decided to find something and I did. Combed Amazon for a single light and found https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0874QY1N5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it's waterproof, has many options, and a tiny remote. Put it in the middle of the fountain, piled rocks around it, and WOW! The extra $11 was priceless in the ambience it created. Now I have the most beautiful, soothing fountain I could ever want. I highly recommend this.

The overall quality of the fountain is not to expectations based on reviews, photos and price. Negatives: 1) the box arrived severely mangled - however, with the styrofoam inside the box kept the fountain from being damaged during shipping; 2) one of the cat tails is torn; 3) directions for assembly were poor at best; 4) the connecting tube from pump to fountain top very cheap production; 5) the internal design of the product is also very cheap with the attachment of PVC piping; 6) the pump motor is quite loud even when properly submersed in water; 7) the pump has a dial on it for variable speed which does not work as no matter where the dial is turned, the volume of water is the same. Pros: 1) the weight of the fountain was very manageable; 2) the theme of the fountain is nice; 3) the size of the fountain is perfect for the space making it versatile for different locations in the house and outdoors. Overall: the biggest complaint is the pump.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice fountain. It looks great on my back porch and has a lovely sound. Lilies look great and the base is solid. I have kept it running 24/7 over the past two weeks. There are six lily pads with the water cascading form pad to pad and ending up flowing over the rocks. When I first got it I filled the basin to the top and then turned it on and heard very little or no sound which had me worried. What I discovered is that the water, as in any fountain evaporates. My quite fountain all of a sudden began to make the running water sound I wanted to hear. The lesson learned is don't fill it to the top, leave about 2 inches and as the water reaches the bottom it will fall inside the container making the splashing sound. Here is a video of the sound....nice! Note one of the reviewers made a comment that it is hard to clean...so far this is not a problem. I bought from Amazon a fountain algaecide & clarifier called Fountec. All it takes is two drops per week to keep the water clean. Also this product is safe for animals in case they drink it. If you do need to take it apart, you simply remove the stones and lift off the lily pads, not a big deal, especially if you are outside.
