  • Effective water backpack
Color: Black
This is a really nice backpack. It was easy to fill the water bladder and it has a decent storage capacity. I did not run into any issues with leaks and it was comfortable to hike with.

  • Almost perfect, but still what I needed
Color: Black
This is an almost perfect hydration pack. Holds a good amount of water, has pockets and storage for some small things and it seems well made. Used this more over 50 miles of hiking. My only gripe is the the chest strap. When I have it clasped together across my chest it ends up pressing on my throat. Im 6'1, 230lbs for reference. I tried adjusting the strap lengths to reposition where the straps and pack sit, but it didn't matter. I ended up having to use this with it undone. Not such a big deal for hiking, but more vigorous moving exercises I could see this being an issue where the straps may slide off your shoulders. For my personal experience I wont take any stars away, but just thought I'd throw this out there. I'll also mention, once your done using this, clean the bladder ASAP, let it air dry then put it in the freezer. This helps keep funny tastes from forming. ... show more

  • Water wherever you are plus storage!
Color: Navy Blue
I am really enjoying the Water Buffalo so far. The last two days have been in the mid-90's and humid. I love that because the backpack is a little larger I can fit a slim ice pack or two to keep the water ice cold at all times. One thing I do which may not appeal to some people is after I drink I blow the water left in the hose back into the bladder otherwise that water will be warm when you next drink it (the water left in the hose). Not a big deal. In addition to ample room for ice packs, there is room for wallets, keys, food, flashlight, hand warmer, extra socks, just about anything you may need. One thing I added to it is a bought a badge reel and clipped it on the oppose side the hose is on. The I attached the retractable reel to the hose so after I drink it automatically retracts against my chest - no additional clip needed each time. The one annoying thing is keeping it dry. It's pretty difficult and I am a little concerned how I will be able to keep it from getting moldy later. I don't know if I'll use this as much in winter. I found a hack using a plastic hanger or even paper towels but I'll keep my eye out for more. Overall you cannot beat this for the price. The bladder does not leak once tightened. The little backpack alone is great. It just happens to hold the water too. Glad I didn't spend a lot more on a Camelbak. As I am not a hardcore outdoor person, this is more my speed anyway. ... show more

  • Great for 14ners
Color: Black
Great for long hikes. Holds a lot of water. Took this on hours long 14ners and I still had water by the time we were all done. And I was not being liberal with how much I was drinking on the hike. Doesn’t hold a ton but I didn’t really mind. I could fit my small first aid kit, a couple granola bars and my smaller knife in the front pocket. The big pocket holds only the water pouch. ... show more

  • Great Water Bag - Perfect for Workouts
Color: Arctic Blue
Full Disclosure: I have only used this bag a handful of times at the time of writing this review. This bag has proven great so far! Its 2L capacity is more than enough for most workouts and proves quite handy for most hikes. It does NOT have as much storage as some other brands, but that is more than made up for with the price point as well as the light-weight of the bag. The front pouch of the bad is big enough for about one cell phone and your ID, but not much more beyond that. The main compartment is separated by a sleeve, so you could get away with stashing some extra supplies in there, especially if you don't fill the bladder to its full capacity. So far I really love this bag. It comfortable to wear and I haven't had any problems with the straps slipping off my chest (5'8" male), nor any leaks within the bladder. I can't wait to take it out some more. I would definitely recommend this to a friend! ... show more

  • Durable and comfortable
Color: Black
I have not had a water pack before like this but I really like it. The water tastes completely normally after washing it the first time. The cover on the tube is kind of annoying but it does work well when you are in muddy areas. I have used it for biking and hiking and it works great for both. I can hold my snacks, phone, and keys all in the pack 9.5/10 ... show more

  • Great Bag, Terrible Bladder
Color: Arctic Blue
The bag itself is great. Perfect size and feel for long bike rides. Pocket easily fits a cell phone and some small snacks. Pretty comfortable and I forget it's on my back. The bladder, however, is bunk. First, it is the first bladder I have ever had with no handle. So I have to stick my hand in the hole to have a grip and leverage to fill it. Then I have to hope I don't spill while I am screwing the cap on. Second, where the hose connects to the bladder has no drip stop if the hose is not connected, so water just pours out. Also the first time I've run into this with a bladder. This makes it more difficult to fill the bladder outside of the bag because you always have to pull the hose out. Third, the cap over the mouthpiece doesn't click closed, so it just flaps around open, leaving the mouthpiece exposed. Finally, the mouthpiece slides right off when you are drinking, stopping the water from coming out. I constantly have to drink, push the mouthpiece back into position with my thumb, then repeat. Because I like the bag so much I've just swapped the bladder with one of my other ones, but a bit disappointing. ... show more
