    • The right extension chargers for my Google Nest (battery) cameras.
I like my Google Nest (battery) cameras, but I don't like having to take them down to recharge them from time to time (necessitating a fresh setup for the event sensitivity zones). I bought and installed a different solution (charger block + cable) for my two longer runs, but they only lengthened the time between my recharges instead of eliminating them. In frustration, I returned to the well and found the Wasserstein version, which produces 5.2v and uses slightly heavier round cable. That made the difference. Checking my battery levels now consistently shows "Plugged In' and the infinity sign, which was a short-term thing after charging and reinstalling with the previous cables. ... show more

One cable worked perfectly; the other was nonfunctional. Upon further investigation, I found that the nonfunctional cable’s ground conductor was disconnected at the PCB on the Google Nest Cam power connector. As the project this product was for was time-sensitive, I bought a 120VAC to Google Nest Cam power connector adapter from a local retailer (that’s all that was available) and spliced the conductors together so I could plug the other end into a USB port. I had to do this because I was converting 24VAC to 5VDC and had no high voltage available at my existing camera power supply.     • Don’t bother!!
These cameras don’t stay on line very well. They only give you three our history unless you pay for extra services. The charge plug doesn’t charge very well. It takes a very long time to charge these cameras.
