Gave this stacking kit a month of use before reviewing. Some negative reviews read before purchasing seemed a bit suspect as to the integrity of the installation but purchased anyway instead of paying much more for the manufacturers simple brackets to accomplish the same task. Kit came timely and complete, was easy to assemble and install on the lower, washer unit. Only real issue in placing the dryer is that it has to be lifted, not slid into place. The 4 corner pieces of the mounting frame have locating "walls" or edging to hold against the 2 units so sliding the dryer in place can't be done. One corner section moved slightly when mounting the dryer but a couple of gentle taps with a rubber mallet worked to position it properly. The ratchet strap installed easily and was able to get to the right tension to hold the dryer solidly in place without starting to buckle the sheet metal of the outer cabinet panels. Made all the connections and moved the stack in place. Make sure you push/pull on the lower washer unit to place, the strapped on dryer is not strong enough to use as leverage for placing the stack. The first couple of heavy spin cycles were monitored to see if we were going to have any issues but things were just fine. It has been a month now with no problems. The ratchet strap has held tension without problems. The pull out shelf works for holding clothes removed from the dryer. I believe trying to use a laundry basket on the shelf with the stack configuration would be cumbersome, especially for a shorter person. Bottom line-very pleased. This was a good buy, less costly than the factory option with a shelf thrown in. ... show more

I AM ECSTATIC!!!! IVE SPENT HUNDREDS TRYING WASHER/DRYER STACKING PRODUCTS AND THEY ALL DID NOT FIT MY LARGE CAPACITY WASHER IN THEM! BY CHANCE I LOOKED AND THEY HAVE THIS WHICH MEANT MORE ROOM FOR ME THAN THE BULKY STACKING CABINETS. IT WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND WITHIN A 1/2 HR. MY DRYER WAS ON TOO SAFE AND SECURE. AND YOU DINT MEED A CABINET TO PUT THEM IN AFTERWARDS. IT LOOKS MARVELOUS AND IS STURDY. ALREADY DID A WASH!!! IM VERY HAPPY AND I ORDERED FRIDAY AND GOT SUNDAY!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! ... show more

Cross tubes for slide out tray have to be snapped in didn’t realize at first how much so. Didn’t even have them engaged at first. Tray itself is kind of a joke. In spite of the pretty much useless tray (appears to be too weak to hold a basket of clothes) the stacking connection feature works well. Careful of ratchet itself of the ratchet strap doesn’t marr your machines finish. On second examination the tray works well enough to steady a basket while holding it with your free hand for emptying dry clothes. ... show more

Pass. The mount is not secured on the bottom when stacking the top on the bottom, so it can shift when stacking the upper machine. The most important pieces are the corners but the corner pieces are plastic.
