We added a larger deck to our house and needed to re-route the Dryer vent and outlet last fall. Winter set in so we used this vent kit as an inexpensive and quick fix. Did the job - although it did add a little heat and moisture to the laundry room (which didn't hurt much during the winter months).

Waste of my time and money. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get the metal springs to tighten around the exhaust duct. The aluminum hose is too wide and flys off each time I tighten the screws. I spent $30 just to have to purchase a new one somewhere else. Please do not waste your time.

We needed a fix as the landlord is taking way to long to fix our vent. This was easy to install and catches everything, just need to clean every couple of times. I also keep a old tooth bruch close by to brush off the inside of lint making it super easy. Sure beats going to a laundrymat:)

This thing is okay for the occasional dry. The issue I faced was the humidity it caused, I mean my whole living room was hot and wet, and it actually set off my fire alarms. It works well in trapping lint and is definitely easy to set up though. For what it does, it’s okay, just be prepared to let a window down.
