Easy to install clean look only down side unless your dryer has a leaf blower strapped to it this vent the vanes don’t open very far maybe 1/4-1/2” with the el-cheapo plastic ones they would open over an inch just replaced my dryer due to it not heating same with new dryer so I know it’s definitely the vent itself been like that since new has not affected performance of it though when dryer is off vent seals shut very nicely and cleanly love the included seal that fits the back seals around my brick beautifully if this ever fails i absolutely will buy another directly from this very same company i absolutely love this vent no noises nothing high quality stainless not so much as a spec of rust like lesser materials screws are included however as tight as it fits I never had to use them slipped it in the pipe and snugged it up to the brick been that way since hasn’t moved at all

The, um, "top quality' piece that came with the house wasn't up to the sun and the temps here, and it gave up after eight years. This one in stainless is the perfect replacement. Exact replacement for the 4" dryer vent. This one is stainless and comes with a warning about sharp edges and wearing gloves. Good Idea. A little work with a file dressed those burrs and edges in a few seconds, all good. I wore cut-proof gloves anyway. This cover comes with new stainless mounting screws, plus a formed rubber-like gasket/seal that fits snug and really solves gap issues at the mounting face. The louvers fit together a LOT tighter than old plastic vent this replaced. Should keep the cold and the wildlife outside. I'm planning for this one to last longer than I will, at least in this house. Looks like it will easily do that. Happy with the purchase, the ease of installation, and the appearance when installed. Good materials, and a purchase and installation I shouldn't have to repeat so a good value.

All metal except for the flexible gasket. It was difficult to hold that in place at 4 corners while screwing in the vent. I finally glued it to the vent then installed it. It looks nice and works well.

I have a janky dryer vent that always had problems holding a vent cover because of the depth, but this one works and after an easy install, it looks and works great. It came with quiet foam strips for the end of the louvre slats, but after install I would recommend not placing them until you turned on dryer to see how well the slats opened and closed. They also collect lint on the strips and the slight weight doesn’t allow the slats to open fully so clothes don’t dry as fast. There is a rubber gasket that goes around the vent and fits on first try, but if taken off it doesn’t stay on so I will caulk around it after screwing to the wall. Decent price and would recommend.

This vent cover is very good. It was easy to replace my old plastic one, and the built quality is excellent. Including the pre-cut foam strips to reduce noice was very thoughtful, and I really appreciate the rubber gasket to keep the vent tight. Highly recommended.

I just finished installing it to replace a broken plastic vent cover. It was about 10x more difficult to remove my old cover than install this new one, because the old one had been painted over and caulked around the edges. I had to score and cut through paint and caulk around the sides and scrape paint out of the flat head screw grooves. Once I got the old one off, this one slid into place easily and installed in the same screw holes. It probably took 3 minutes to install the new one including putting the foam on the louvers and installing it. I had my wife turn the dryer on, and the louvers opened between 45-80 degrees, so I consider it a success. A few notes and tips: - I didn't use the included screws, which appear to be 2" #4 screws. The screws holding the old vent cover in place were 2" #8 (best guess), so I used my own exterior wood 2" #8 screws instead. Why? The included screws would not have found purchase in the larger pre-existing screw holes, and I didn't want to be bothered with screw anchors. It's easier to just use thicker screws. - My old vent cover tube part slid over the vent tube from the dryer, whereas this one slid inside it. No problems; just different. - Adding the foam to the louvers does reduce the noise level, so I recommend adding them. You need to cut small strips to size from the included pad. Even if you covered each louver entirely, you'd have a lot extra. - Instructions, which are simple and clear, are included in English. I added a photo. - I bought the 4" vent, which was a fit to replace my old one. I guess that's standard (?) for a dryer vent, but I didn't know. Glad it fit.
