Description

This product is a low smoke two-cycle oil formulated from a special blend of mineral oil, polybutene and a low ash additive system. Lucas 2-Cycle Racing Oil is specially designed to prevent carbon deposits to the piston rings, skirt, crown and under crown areas and prevent exhaust port blocking. It is pre-diluted with a special solvent to facilitate mixing with gasoline at all temperatures. Lucas 2-Cycle Racing Oil is recommended for all air and liquid cooled two-stroke engines and lower specific output air-cooled engines functioning under all operating conditions. Meets the requirement for low smoke oils often referred to as smokeless oils. Designed primarily for use with oil injection systems where no fuel/oil premixing is required. However, it is also acceptable for use in premixes of gasoline and oil up to 50:1.

While not cheap this is still a bargain compared to the small bottles of 2 cycle oil. It has a JASO FD and FC spec that will meet most common air cooled engine requirements. It's very low ash and the spark plugs I've changed have no build up at all from the oil. I have three blowers and a chain saw that all run a 50:1 mix. This synthetic oil is essentially smokeless so the build up on spark arrestors, pistons, etc. is minimal. I do use a Pit Posse PP3240 Ratio Rite Premix Gas Fuel Oil Mixer Mixing 2-Stroke Measuring Cup With Lid. There's no mess at all with this handy measuring cup. There's also no waste and it's easy to get the mix just right even if you're not mixing in equal increments of a gallon. I use Lucas additive in my diesel and it quiets the lifters so I figured I’d try the 2-stroke oil too. It also said it was smokeless so that was appealing as my outboard smoked way to much. Well the oil does seem to be smoother than the former oil I was using but while it does smoke less, it isn’t smokeless. There is some smoke until the engine warms up and then it seems good with little to no smoke. I’m very happy with the product though and will likely buy more and continue to use it. ... show more

I recently bought two four gallon packs of this oil. The first box was fine but the second box was soaked in oil and had stretch wrap over it. I was a pain to open and was very messy, a couple of the gallons were not completely full but i could see no holes and the cap seal was not broken. I contacted amazon with my problem and no questions asked, i was refunded the full amount. As for the oil, am running it in my skidoo 800 and it works great, pulled out the raves and completely clean after running it for quite some time. ... show more

LUCAS and Royal Purple ARE THE ONLY 2 stroke oils I use in my chainsaws, I've been running and repairing saws for 25 years ! I have seen A LOT of saws trashed due to crap oil, hell I have OLD Mac 610's that run like new when I use this oil, ....If you run chainsaws try it, if you can't notice a difference you DON'T run chainsaws !! ... show more

i use this product in a goped gsr46r, once i put this oil into the engine the entire tone of the engine changed, before it sounded like a leaf blower and now it can hear more popping like on a 2stroke dirtbike, also with my old gas the engine would often dye at idle because the rpm was so low, the engine has not died yet at idle... engine runs super clean, love this stuff! just ordered some lucs octane booster as well for better efficiently and power. also my engine is very high revving, like 17,000 rpm, and i have had not issues with my fuel at high rpm, if anything the engine screams even more with this stuff ... show more
