Description

The WARN ER EVO 10 Standard Duty Winch with a steel cable has an 10, 000 lb. capacity and has an idea weight capacity and line speed for 1/2-ton pickup trucks, jeeps, and larger SUVs. The high-performance Albright contactor delivers maximum reliability and is inside the control pack that can be relocated for low-profile installations. Included is a state-of-the-art wired remote. This winch features an IP68-rated waterproof construction that keeps the elements out, and a durable, one-piece cast-aluminum tie-plate for extra strength and durability. A powerful series-wound motor and planetary gear train deliver faster line speed under load, with lower amp draw. These winches are designed, engineered, and tested in the USA by WARN engineers and have a limited lifetime for mechanical parts and 7 years on the electrical. I don't have anything negative to say about this winch. Easy to use and ease to install. The wireless remote is an item I can't live without now. Great product, works better than any winch I have ever owned.

    • Great winch, beware of missing parts and poor customer service
The winch is awesome and does the trick. It has helped me self-recover multiple times and has assisted with recovering other vehicles when they need it. I have no complaints as of yet and have owned it since October of 2020. My winch controller battery died recently and luckily I had a flashlight with the same battery and was able to extract myself with that. This winch should have come with a cable to avoid the issue with wireless remote functioning though, albeit my bad for not ensuring the cable was in the box when it first arrived, it did not. I reached out to Warn as instructed by Amazon and they said that even though it is sold in the Warn store ON Amazon, they do not sell THROUGH Amazon . . . okay? Warn’s solution = sell me another $100 winch remote with cable because they can’t sell the cable separately. What a racket. This will make me think twice before purchasing from Warn again. Small issue, but very inconvenient and the proposed solution was even worse. ... show more

I just got to use my winch I had to pull a full dress street glide up apx 50 foot very steep hill and it did it like nothing, both tire flat and rims destroyed both tires locked up, almost vertical pull you could not walk up the hill and I slid all the way to the bike.

The media could not be loaded. It does not say in the description but my installer showed me that you can unplug the handset and it works wireless too!! Bonus!! Makes it the best deal on the planet!!

In the image I show the WARN VR EVO 10. Well the top of the control box anyhow. I was pleasantly surprised that the controller was both wired and wireless. Less happy that it wasn’t rechargeable. Now I have to think about carrying batteries. But the wireless worked well. Before you install, you need to find the serial number and write it down or take a picture. If you don’t, you won’t be able to get to it afterward for registration. The serial number needs to be placed when you can find it any time. But notice how low the winch sits. It is in the winch cradle and it weren’t for the fair lead you wouldn’t even notice there was a winch. I will one day replace the fairlead with one having black rollers but that is a cost metric issue and has no relationship to the fact that this is a very good winch. I could have chosen a rope winch but I deal with rocks and rocks don’t play well with ropes. So I stuck to what I know and went with steel. There are pros and cons to either choice so think about it before buying your winch. This VR EVO is a great winch for my needs. True low profile stance looks great. You can move the control box, depending on your need but for me I didn’t need to do anything other than tighten the bolts and run the wires. This is my 3rd WARN winch. I won’t consider any other manufacturer when it comes to keeping me safe. ... show more
