  • Great winch, beware of missing parts and poor customer service
The winch is awesome and does the trick. It has helped me self-recover multiple times and has assisted with recovering other vehicles when they need it. I have no complaints as of yet and have owned it since October of 2020. My winch controller battery died recently and luckily I had a flashlight with the same battery and was able to extract myself with that. This winch should have come with a cable to avoid the issue with wireless remote functioning though, albeit my bad for not ensuring the cable was in the box when it first arrived, it did not. I reached out to Warn as instructed by Amazon and they said that even though it is sold in the Warn store ON Amazon, they do not sell THROUGH Amazon . . . okay? Warn’s solution = sell me another $100 winch remote with cable because they can’t sell the cable separately. What a racket. This will make me think twice before purchasing from Warn again. Small issue, but very inconvenient and the proposed solution was even worse. ... show more

  • Appears to be well made
Operates well and very easy to install. Appears to be of good quality like you would expect from a Warn. Have not actually used in an emergency but spooled it out at the shop and ran very smoothly. I mounted mine exposed on my bu,per and it looks really good.

  • Great customer service
This review could have been a one star and at one point it was in my mind. The first winch I received would pull the cable in but it would not power the cable out. I called Warn and spoke with a lady named Judy who quickly hooked me up with a local Warn distributor that quickly exchanged my bad unit for a new in the box unit. Second unit worked great, install was easy. My installation was in a Jeep JLU Wrangler. ... show more

  • Definitely worth the money I'd buy it again
This is an excellent piece of equipment although I did have to pull my bumper to install it, that's the bumpers fault not the winch. I bolted it in and had my bumper back on inside of an hour. ran my wires up to the battery, screwed them down, pulled out the remote control, held the button down for about 5 Seconds, the Wi-Fi came on and I had full control of the winch. I am going to have to modify my custom grill to allow more airflow ... show more

  • Warn 10K winch with steel cable
I was on the fence with ether this Warn or the latest Harbor Freight winch which is rated just as good by review vid's. I went with the Warn after I found a vendor selling for a discounted price over retail. All the features are good but if one thing I could change and will is the length of the cable. I use this on my car trailer and only need about 30' vs the 90' they give you. So my plan is to shorten the cable by 60'. The entire unit with the 90' cable is ridiculously heavy to lift. Overall a good unit and expect to get some long life and good use out of it. ... show more

  • This winch is tough AF
Well, I bought this for my Toyota Prado 90, my vehicle weights around 2 tons with all mods an 35 inch tires. I've tested this winch when my car stuck on an 30-40 degree incline in 70cm deep snow, my tires were useless, there was no grip at all, even though I have locking differentials and all the goodies I could use were put in to work (I consider myself an experienced off road driver) so don't ask me about the necessary equipment, nothing helped, and only after I've tried everything I decided to pull out the Joker :D This winch pulled my car through the snow cleaning up the snow trap with the weight of my car (Again: tires were useless) I can recommend this winch if you want a dependable secret weapon in your arsenal )) Thank you Specialty Truck and Auto team for supplying great equipment! ... show more

  • Winch stronger than cable
I bought this to remove stumps. On one particularly stubborn trunk I used my backhoe to bust a lot of roots. But I had to continue by connecting the winch via steel cable. On the third attempt, the cable busted. I guess I’ll be replacing it with a synthetic rope. Maybe I need dynamite for the trunk!
