I ordered this for my mother for Christmas. I was pleased with the quality of the coat for the price, however, it runs small. Would definitely order one or two sizes up. Unfortunately, I had to return it because they didn’t have the next size up for her.

First, let me say that I love this short jacket. I am pleased with my purchase and would not want to be without it. I purchased the yellow jacket. However, warm is relative. I live in New York City so in winter I experience very extreme temperatures ranging from approximately 10 degrees to 60 degrees. Because of the length of this coat / jacket, I would not wear it when the temperatures goes below 40 degrees if I was going to be exposed to cold for more than 15 minutes especially if there are high winds. Now with a winter scarf and layers under my pants and a sweater under my jacket, I might be able to withstand the cold temperatures. However, I do not like being cold so I would wear a longer winter coat such as my Landsend Chalet. My Nautica puffer in a similar size and design is warmer than this one. The material isn't really designed for extreme temperatures. The front has double zippers so you have great versatility in wearing it. It is this feature that makes it love this jacket and the mustard color. So to answer your question, if this is going to be your only winter coat and you have to endure harsh temperatures then purchase different jacket; but, if this jacket is going to one in your wardrobe of winter coats, don't hesitate unless this purchase is for a child because the sleeve to appear as though they would withstand rough play. Finally, let me say my jackets arrived weeks before the original delivery date quoted at time of purchase. I hope I have been helpful. I have considered buying another in the same color so I wouldn't have to be without it should something happens to this one. (wink)

I like the looks and feel of this jacket. Bought it for an AK cruise in August. Weather is supposedly raining and cool. Dang! I'm hoping I don't have to wear it- fingers crossed. Now, to the important info. I find reviews unhelpful when someone just gives opinion when we all want and need the specifics. So...I am in the process of losing weight 50lbs so far. I am currently 5'2, chest 40", waist 36.5" and hips 44." The jacket went on easy and the inner zipper zipped just fine. A thin sweater would fit underneath just fine. The outer shell with zipper could stand to have a 1/2" more material to zip up just as easily. I don't feel that the bottom elastic is too tight as another reviewer stated. If I hadn't of bought it during prime day with this discount I probably would have considered going one size up only to be able to add a thicker sweater. I tried it on with a tshirt so who knows, maybe I will be able to wear a thicker one. I just feel that the outer zipper might be more difficult to zip up. But then it doesn't necessarily need to be zipped. Besides, when I drop another size thus won't be a concern anyway! My advice and one I am learning quickly...read the manufacturers measurement chart. If you have a measuring tape with cm-use that side then add 3 more and go with the size closest to it. You should be ok!

Great coat! The weather was between 40° and 45° F, with moderate wind and light rain. The coat kept me warm, and I did not feel any wind or moisture. The coat is slightly puffy with a slim fit for style, but still enough room to wear a light sweater underneath.
