  • great safety to protect your gear
i bought this to protect my camera in rain and heavy snow. it works well and doesnt restrict my use of any features of the camera. if you lose the string on the lens end you can tape the cover to the hood of the lens to protect the lens just as much as the camera body. it should fit small and large cameras even with battery grips. i keep this in my gear bag at all times just in case. highly recommend ... show more

  • Worked out.
This worked out for my camera fine. I didn't have it on a tripod, so it did make it a bit difficult to use because I was trying to use it off tripod. But it kept my camera dry when I was carrying it in the rain. I think it would do fine when on a tripod taking photos.

  • Works as intended
WOrks fine for what it’s intended for. Difficult for filming since the back doesn’t have enough clear to keep the rear display open. Doesn’t allow for attachments on top either…But still keeps water off the lens and body

  • Great Protection for your camera
This cover offers generous coverage protecting my camera in the rain I like being able to put my hands directly on the camera when the cover is on.

  • Keeps my DSLR dry, even with a telephoto lens attached.
I tried this out both in light rain as well as in heavy rain (around 1.5 inches per hour rainfall rate, according to the gauge that was right beside me at the time) and it kept my DSLR and my hands dry in both situations. It has two holes in the side that you put your hands through to hold the camera. The back is transparent and I could both see the LCD screen on my camera well, as well as see clearly through the viewfinder through the transparent plastic backing of this cover and was able to easily take shots. I could also adjust the zoom of my telephoto lens and press buttons on the camera body without a problem. The bottom has a large zippered hole that you use to insert the camera. It zips up from both sides, which is nice, as you can zip it up around the straps if you have a camera strap attached. With a 300 mm telephoto lens attached to my DLSR, the lens glass did get a bit wet in the heavy downpour just because of rain blowing in on it, but there's not much that can be done about that situation. The lens body and camera body, however, remained dry, as did my hands. I wish I had had this years ago for taking pictures while keeping my camera dry in places like the mountainous windward parts of Kauai and the Big Island where the chance of light rain/drizzle showers on any given day is near 100%. The end of the sleeves for both of your hands as well as the lens have straps that can be cinched down to close gaps to prevent water from blowing in and, in the case of the lens, to prevent the end of the sleeve from falling down in front of the lens. The design is simple, but it seems to be well thought out and accomplishes the task of keeping a camera both dry and usable well. The picture shows what it looks like with my D3400 inside the cover, visible through the transparent plastic back/top portion of the cover. ... show more

  • Works to keep camera dry yet hard to see through wet plastic window
Great idea yet tough to work with. The plastic is hard to see through as it gets wet. Its hard to tell if you are truly focussed well. The cam does go in bag easily. The front has a sinch pull that does help close it down torwards front of lens. Its better than nothing in down pouring rain but not the greatwst invention either;( ... show more
