Description

Gear Hero HQ Exclusive Limited Edition Black The Walrus Audio Aetos is an 8-output, isolated power supply, utilizing an internal custom wound toroidal transformer to provide the highest noise filtering and cleanest power, giving artists the purest sound in their signal chain. The Aetos is housed in a solid die cast enclosure and is 4.7”long x 3.7” wide x 2” height and has 8 total 9VDC outputs, 6 are 100mA and 2 outputs are high current outputs (300mA) for higher current drawing pedals like line 6 DL series modelers, the Boss Twin Series Pedals and many digital modulation pedals on the market. It comes with a detachable 120V AC Power cord and also has a 120VAC complimentary power output. This unit comes with 8 – 2.1mm barrel black power cables and 2 black- to-red (Line 6) power cables. Fits under most pedal boards including Pedaltrain (PT JR and up), Pedal Pad, Blackbird Boards, Creation Music Company, and Holeyboards.

Absolutely love Walrus Audio, they have great products and wonderful customer service outside of Amazon. This Aetos is no different for quality and functionality. As quiet as can be and powers all my favorite pedals. With the included the extra 120v out plug I can utilize wall adapters for pedals that require more Mah than the power supply can give. I.E. the Avalanche run requires 1000mah and the wall supply plugs right into the out and has no issues being added to the chain. I’ve been using this unit for smaller chains and it has no trouble at all and I’ve been thrilled with how silent it’s been. The only down side could be cost but you definitely get what you pay for as I’ve used several other power supplies. With none meeting the quality or solid construction that comes with Walrus. Highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for a power supply and have the extra cash for a solid one like this. ... show more

Noisiest power supply ever. Never had any issues with my 1SpotC7 until I had a isoport go out. Go this because it was the same price for an 8 pedal power block. Doesn't nothing but make noise, my strymon flint 9v doesn't like it and goes into some clicking light flickering seizure. Bossdd200 makes a bunch of weird noises as well. Construction is also questionable since it appears that some the ports are further back than others. Overall regret purchasing. Should have either go another 1spot block or the strymon power supply. I have a gig Saturday and zero time to replace it. Edit: Walrus stepped up and corrected the issue. Customer service was awesome. Formerly 2* ... show more

The Aetos has proven to be a huge improvement over the familiar daisy-chain supply we all seem to start with. I'm using this one to power a seven-pedal bass rig: pedal tuner; compressor; sub-octave; fuzz; overdrive; amp-in-a-box; and chorus. There's less noise and everything is running smooth and steady. Sure, the Aetos enclosure is a bit large, but I had room to mount it on the top deck of my board -- and, well, the red-and-black color scheme looks good. Recommended. ... show more

Nice power supply but the first one that arrived had a loose pcb you could hear rattling around so I had to send it back and wait for a replacement. Other than that it works as intended and helped reduce hum and hiss, my compressor is quieter too.

The most important step one can take to clean up the sound coming out of an amp is -supplying isolated clean power to your pedal chain. Aetos is an excellent power supply block and I would put it up against any other similar competitor's product. It's built like a tank and never fails. I also own the Walrus Phoenix model. Both are essential pieces of equipment for powering my bass and guitar pedals. Austin’s power supply. Other musicians comment on how cool It looks. More importantly, the power is absolutely clean. My sound has had a major noise reduction and much more clarity. Looses one star for not having any 12, 15 or 18v options. I have one pedal (AnalogMan BiChorus) that likes 15v. An Xotic voltage doubler plugged into one of the 9v outlets of the Aeros does the trick for that pedal. ... show more

Extremely nice power supply. Made in the US. Clean, consistent power. Reeks of quality except both the 3 prong outlets wiggle around cheaply.... What's that about? Also kinda wish it had at least one 18v hookup. Otherwise a flawless product.
