This is a well-constructed, sturdy rolling chair/walker. When my father passed away a few years ago, we held onto his roller/walker because you never know when you might need something like that. But his was fairly lightweight and didn't seem particularly sturdy. This one, however, is head-and-shoulders above his old model. First, I like the fact that the height of the unit is adjustable to accommodate multiple persons. I'm 5'7" and my husband is 6' tall. We have found this unit to be very comfortable for either of us at about the middle height setting, whether we are seated or standing behind the chair pushing (using it as a walker, or pushing one another in it). The brakes are responsive, which may be important as a safety consideration in certain circumstances. The chair seat is very comfortable--more than I had expected, in fact. I was doubtful as to whether or not the back would be comfortable, because of the seemingly askew angle at which it sits. My doubts were unfounded. The back is perfectly set up to assure that you don't slouch, and that you sit properly to avoid strain on your back. Too many of us these days seem to slouch, or lean backward and over time, this is not healthy for your core or your back. This chair is set up to assure that you have adequate support, but that you aren't leaning so far back as to do damage or harm to your spine. The space under the seat for storage is much larger than I expected. I could easily put my purse in there and perhaps even a bag or two of groceries in there if I needed to. I don't see that being an issue, but that's just to give you an idea of the space allowed. There's a cup holder (nice touch!) and a place to store either an umbrella or a cane if you need to. The footrests are also a nice touch and easy to flip up or down using your feet. I've sat in the chair, and then just used my feet to wheel myself around and that's a pretty easy thing to achieve. If you're not up to using your own legs, it's nice that there are handles behind it (similar to a wheelchair set up), so someone else can help with propulsion. I find that, seated, I can either rest my forearms on the arm rests that jut forward, or lift my arms a bit and rest them on the handles that jut behind (the ones with the brakes on them) the chair. Either position is comfortable. For us, the most impressive part is how well-built this unit is. It will certainly stand the test of time and use. We also appreciate the little touches, like the seat storage and cup holder, that will definitely come in handy should we ever find ourselves in need of a device like this! Hubby has already had a hip and a knee replaced, so this kind of thing is nice to have around just in case, and I think we'd probably be hard pressed to find a better-built one than this one.

There are absolutely different levels to rollators and walkers. There are the cheaper models, the middle of the road models, and the higher end versions. Each have their benefits and drawbacks. The cheaper ones have fewer bells and whistles, but they tend to be more affordable for when you're on a budget. The middle ones are obvious and the higher end ones are the ones where you will find the most options and some of the more novel versions. This unit is one that would fall more in the middle as far as quality and offerings go. You have everything that you would really need, as you can use it as a walker, a chair, and you have a place to store all of your goodies. What's nice here is that you can also use this as a wheelchair as needed, something that I must say can be a huge boon at times, if you or your family member need a bit more help getting around than normal. Now, the benefits and drawbacks here is that this is priced like a budget unit. The price makes this very accessible to others who want or need a bit more, but can't really spring for a larger price tag. There are some tradeoffs, though. The hybrid nature of this makes it a bit more awkward to manipulate at times than it would if it were clearly one or the other. Another is that while you get a lot with this, this was clearly designed on a budget. It's not going to be as polished as one of the more highly priced units or something that is clearly either a walker or a wheelchair. At the same time, if you're on a budget and need both this is a good option. It's something I would tentatively recommend if you are in that situation. If you're someone who would really only need one or the other, then you may want to look into an option that best suits your needs.

I ordered this 2‑in‑1 rollator/transport chair for my newly disabled daughter who has mobility issues. She can walk short distances, but for appointments or shopping trips she needs me to push her. At first, we borrowed a standard wheelchair, transport wheelchair, and a very similar rollator/wheelchair from a neighbor with a disabled husband. My daughter preferred the rollator‑style transport chair and it was easier for me to manage. This FVZZIN model has been a really helpful piece of equipment for us to own. As a transport chair, it has been great. It’s smaller than a regular wheelchair or even a transport wheelchair. It fits into my small SUV trunk without as much of a struggle as the wheelchairs. All four legs are adjustable, so I was able to set it up to accommodate her 5‑foot height. The seat is firm and supportive, as opposed to the soft flexible sling style seats. The backrest flips easily depending on whether she’s walking with it or riding. The footrests slide on and off in seconds. Since we mostly use this as a transport chair, having footrests that are sturdy and simple to attach is important. The storage bag under the seat is roomy and secure. Once she’s sitting, the small gap between the seat and the bag ensures nothing falls out. It’s also impossible for a stranger to unknowingly access the bag, which is one less thing we have to worry about when out in public. We can both keep our purses in there so they are out of the way and safe. Of course, that means she needs to stand up in order for us to access the contents, but we prefer it this way. The seat flips up smoothly so she can get to whatever we’ve stored in the bag. It’s the perfect place to keep the footrests when they aren't needed. The rollator/transport chair feels stable and well‑designed. The large rubber wheels roll and swivel easily. The brakes work well, and the push‑down emergency brake keeps the chair still while she sits. Folding it for travel is simple, though it does need to lean on something because it won’t stand on its own when folded. Assembly was mostly easy with no tools needed. The manual could be clearer since some of the diagrams zoom in so much that it’s hard to tell what part of the frame they’re showing. I often had to look at photos of the rollator to figure out proper placement. Once it is assembled, adjusting the height is easy and it only needs to be done once. The backrest came misshapen from being compressed in the box, but I was able to bend it into the correct shape without much effort. Overall, this rollator/transport chair has been an effective substitute for a wheelchair for us. The current price of $139.99 (after coupon) is a great value, based on similar products.
