Ermagerdddd, wayyy better than expected. Especially at this price point!! It was very carefully packaged. My desk arrived in close to perfect condition (very very small scuff on the top but not very noticeable). Large and heavy box….kind of awkward to lift by yourself because of the size of the box. Assembly - overall, assembly was a breeze. I assembled it myself so it did take me a while but that’s in part because I was being extra careful to not mess it up lol. The only tool you need that isn’t included is a phillips head screwdriver. All of the pre-drilled holes were perfect and fit so nicely. All hardware is included - they also include a bag of “spare hardware”, and sliders for the bottoms of the legs so it doesn’t scratch your floor. One big perk is the use of wooden dowels for extra support next to the screwed in parts. I was impressed with that extra detail which makes a huge difference for overall sturdiness and quality. This desk is great! I was a little nervous after reading other reviews but I would buy it again tomorrow. It was a bit of a challenge to put together, but not half as bad as the reviews. It’s sturdy and solid and looks like an expensive piece of furniture. It’s not real wood (pressboard) but you can’t beat it for the price. The faux marble top looks nice too. I bought it for my daughter's bedroom, due to the pandemic she is doing all her college courses online and she needed a desk. This one is simply perfect. It's a joy to look at, not too bulky but with plenty of space for laptop, books and school stuff. It has a nice and ample drawer and it was not too difficult to assemble, only it takes a bit of patience and time. Very beautiful. I couldn't be happier ... show more

Update: we moved to our new home after a year of purchasing this desk. The desk did not survive moving it into the moving truck and into our new home. It was flimsy afterwards and the support bar at the bottom came loose. Was still able to use it, but ultimately bought a new wood desk on Amazon. Still good deal for the price. Visually stunning - So this is a great looking piece of furniture. It’s not real wood but it’s still pleasing to the eye; it fooled most people. I needed something presentable for my living room area that could be used as a desk while working from home. This is spacious enough for me to have two notes books, my keyboard, laptop, and huge monitor as you can see in the picture. The drawer is also spacious. I store my keyboard, mouse, and notebooks in there when we have guests over. Building it - there are no actual pre-drilled holes to screw parts into. It’s marked but you cannot get most screws in with a regular screwdriver for some parts. We specifically needed a drill/power tools when installing the sliders onto the drawer. We tried with just a screwdriver and our hands got sore and the screw was nowhere close to being in. Once we got our drill it became easy. Took about an hour with the drill. My drawer was not crooked like others reports but that’s because I drilled in the sliders tight until I saw how it looked in place and I adjusted as needed. Overall happy. BUT do not purchase if you are not handy with tools, or patient, or both. Maybe purchase the expert assembly with it. ... show more

It fits mynlaptop , papers, lamp, drinks, etc. Showed up on time, in good condition (nothing broken or missing) and was relatively easy to put together, nothing an ikea do it yourselfer couldn’t manage.
