The assembly is not for the faint of heart. Instructions are clear and good, but it takes a long time and is very tedious. The instructions say not to use a drill, but don’t listen to it. Use a drill but don’t over tighten the screws or you’ll crack the wood. Drawers are not designed to come out easily once installed. Two wooden dowels that are perpendicular to each other are used as the drawer stops. So you have to remove two dowels per drawer if you want to take the drawer all the way out. They drawers are not as deep as the entire unit. They are about 3 to 4 inches short. Whoever designed this dresser could have made each drawer three or 4 inches deeper. ... show more

I like the wood, color is perfect, I love that it’s 9 drawers and it’s fairly a thin dresser so it can fit places. It was not fun putting together. The drawers were easy, but the little dowels were all misshapen making them not stick together. Not only that but the screws have only 1 start hole and you screw in and make your own holes as you go which makes the wood chip if you push too hard. You literally have to make the holes and you can’t use a drill so my hands are swollen I can’t even pick up my phone or hold my baby. I was ok with holding the entire dresser from scratch but they didn’t even start the holes so I literally was drilling them myself, it looks nice but it’s not worth it unless you are a professional. ... show more

Total assembly time by myself with no power tools was about 6.5 hrs. (I'd estimate that 2 people with good cordless screwdrivers might be able knock it out in a little over 4 hrs.) Instructions were clear and with a couple of very minor exceptions, everything lined up just fine. Finished product feels very sturdy. One criticism is that the stickers they use to number the parts can mar the finish when attempting to remove them, so do so with care. I also recommend having wood glue on-hand. The packet they provide does not contain enough product, and a standard wood glue bottle just makes application easier and neater. ... show more

Got this dresser because it was a Walker Edison, and I thought the quality would be great, I was sadly mistaken. The wood falls apart very easily, if you screw or drill anything too far even just a hair, the wood will crack. It also has a very low quality paint on it, that I suspect will chip off very quickly, I can see the wood grain through the paint. One of my drawers also doesn’t fit in correctly. It was a lot of pieces to put together and the drawers are pretty small…the outside dimensions are exactly what i wanted BUT you can barely put anything in the top 3 drawers. Overall it’s nice if you don’t have much to put inside the drawers
