I don't expect laminate furniture to be heirloom-grade. It's disposable, but it should at least last a few years. This garbage didn't even last a day. The problem is that the fake wood used for the legs isn't even particleboard - it's extremely low-grade material that's like someone compressed cardboard or something like that. The fake wood look on the legs isn't even laminate - it's just really cheap, flimsy stickers. One leg arrived with visible damage, and the vendor replaced it quickly and without complaint. Good for them. After unpacking it, the replacement rolled off my ottoman onto the floor (about 16" / 40cm) and the corner deformed and the sticker tore. You can almost ruin these just by looking at them funny. After I had assembled the unit, I had a bit of very minor flooding in my condo - about 1/8" (4mm) of water before the flow was stopped. This hit some of my laminate furniture, all of which was fine except for where the water hit this piece. The compressed cardboard-like legs soaked up the water, swelled up, and the stickers peeled right off. I'll figure something out with the legs - I'll probably have to paint them or something and just live with the contrast look. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. IT IS COMPLETE JUNK. ... show more
