TL;DR: Just buy it already. It’s sturdy, the design and cable management features are well thought out, and it gives you two ways to mount it to your desk. Assembly is easy, although I had a minor issue with my monitors that was easy to work around. Best desk upgrade I’ve done! An inexpensive upgrade, especially for the value it provides. — Full Review — I’ve wanted to buy a dual monitor mount for almost a year now. The big issue I had was that the desk I use has no place to mount a c-clamp as the back is semi-closed. I figured I’d wait until I get a new desk. Then, this product came up in my recommendations and it had a grommet mount. I bought it as soon as I saw the high rating (stars and # of reviews). And, I have to say, it does live up to the reviews. — Assembly — Assembly was fairly straightforward. The hardware is packaged well and labeled clearly. Allen keys are provided, but you need your own screwdriver. The instructions are good. I did run into one issue — the VESA plate fit a little loose on the back of my monitors. I thought I needed to tighten the screws more, but stopped because these are easy to strip and I didn’t want to accidentally damage my monitor by over tightening. I had some small, soft spacers on hand in my pc toolkit, so I used two per screw and that made it fit perfectly. — Features — I appreciate the features this comes with. There is a cable management system (clips) on the stem and the arms. You need 3 different size Allen keys (included) to assemble and make adjustments and there is a spot on the stem to store them. — Usage — I can’t speak to moving the monitors around too much as I got them into the position I wanted them and don’t plan on moving them again. But, adjusting the height, angle, and position to get them to where I wanted was fairly easy. I had more issues with the height adjustment as the nut that controls that is hard to grab. But, I was able to get everything perfect fairly quickly. You need to use one of the Allen keys to make adjustments to the arms. I’m pretty sure you can loosen the bolts if you know you’re going to be moving the arms around a lot. I keep mine tight to keep everything fixed in place. And this thing is STURDY. I have no concerns about the monitors falling or even moving out of position accidentally if I somehow bump them. If I pull on the stem I can lift or move my whole desk. This thing isn’t going anywhere. — Final Thoughts — If you’ve read this far, just buy this already. It’s a major upgrade from having two monitors on your desk. My desk is pretty small, but it’s now actually 100% functional for my work. And, it’s inexpensive, especially for the value it provides! My only regret is that it took so long for this to come up in my recommendations. ... show more

I am impressed by the quality of this stand. It comes with 2 options for mounting to a desk, depending on your setup. I think most people will use the back clamp. As stated in the description, this only supports desks up to 4 inches thick. If your desk is thicker, this will most likely not work for that. Initial setup is fairly straight forward. In standard DIY fashion, it comes with all the need tools (aside from a screwdriver I think). It also comes with all the screws and pieces separated in labeled bags, so it is simple to follow along with the instructions. You will not need every piece, as some are for the other configuration. Once tightened on, I am fairly happy with how sturdy it feels. Yes, there is a slight wobble left and right if you move the monitors or bump them. This is due to the extra room to allow them to slide on easily. As others have stated, you can lessen this by adding tape to the sides of the bracket, before you lower the monitor down. I personally have no issues with this, as I don't expect everything to stay completely put when I bump into my desk or my monitors. The one gripe I do have, is that the arms were very tight, and loosening the screws to adjust them required quite a bit of force. Do be careful when doing this, and make sure you have ample space so you don't accidentally slip and bump into something as you are loosening them. Once they are loose enough, adjusting is very simple, and tightening is just as simple once things are where you want them. I chose to keep them loose for easy adjustment later. The swivel is nice, and I have already taken advantage of this with my spare monitor. The included cable clips are plastic, and feel as such. They are working well enough you hold the cables in place, but if you are not satisfied with the job they are doing, you can always buy third party ties, or just use zip ties if you don't plan on moving them anytime soon. Though not perfect, this stand really gets the job done. If you have been on the fence about buying this, don't wait, I am glad I finally have my monitors above the desk, instead of sitting on it. I am quite happy with this dual-monitor desk mount. I have two monitors, the same size but different brands, therefore, they could never stand at the same height, and it drove me nuts! With this dual monitor stand, not only can I move them to match, but I can also tilt them forward and backward, and it has allowed me to clear up space on my desk. Some people have said in their reviews that the arm is not strong enough and their monitor tilts to the front. Well, one needs to tighten the screws.
