    • Works as described. Fixed the vertical drooping. Get a better hex wrench. Great Product for the price.

I rarely write reviews. I only do if the product is really well made or really poorly made (same thing goes with service). I definitely online shop through google stores, ebay, and amazon. The reviews and prices are the only thing helping me out to purchase this product. I did some research and even though the price of VIVO was not the cheapest ($40 shipped was the cheapest I found on Amazon - only 5 great reviews), I went with this one due to it having the most reviews since it allowed me to read more reviews to educate myself on the product I was buying. I needed this for strictly two reasons: the last los angeles earthquake which was about a 5.2 made my two 24" Insignia widescreen LED monitors fall and for ergonomics. The monitors were are their own stand and were working perfectly fine. I had no reason to buy this stand mount. Thankfully the monitors didn't break when they both fell flat on their faces after the quake. Also I noticed my lower back was hurting because of long hours on the computer and I noticed my head was looking down instead of straight which places strain on the neck and lower back. Anyway you get what you buy. Amazon did a lousy packaging even though I am a prime member and the shipping was supposed to be 2 day, but I received it in one (that gave Amazon a plus)! The Amazon box was opened and the USPS post office had to use their own tape to retape it (that gave it Amazon a neg). Frankly I would rather Amazon package items carefully and wait a little longer than increase chances of loosing an item I purchased. Thankfully the VIVO manufacturing company's packaging was superb and nothing was missing or damaged. The stand was very heavy, but very sturdy. After opening, everything was very organized and clear. The instruction guide was great and the everything was sealed in plastic packaging. Here comes the bad part which I noticed some people giving this product a bad review. Just read the few 1 or 2 star reviews, I totally understood where they were coming from. Even though you get a hex wrench and allen wrench, the hex wrench is poor. It works but you may have difficulty using it due to its flatness and overall shape. The allen wrench works on most of the hinges and does its job. You will have to tighten the hinges to prevent it from being so loosey goosey. Now after I mounted my two 24 inch monitors the main linking hinge to the monitor made the monitors sag down. It was as if my monitors were too heavy! I then revealed the two large silver hex screws under the black cover which you have to pry off with some muscle or use a flat screwdriver (easier). Then I used the enclosed hex wrench to tighten it. After about a few millimeters of movement it stopped and my hand hurt from the screwdriver digging into my hand. The tool pressure was too much for my hand and yet the monitors kept drooping. I then went online to see if anyone answered how to prevent monitor drooping. One person which a picture showed the wrong black screw to tighten. The black screw is to tighten the arms to prevent them moving to the side horizontally. No one said how to fix the vertical tightening. I then looked in my handy wrenches which has large grippy handles and managed to tighten it about half a circle further. I noticed a huge improvement. It is important to hold the monitors well and place them on the carpeted floor because I was scared the exertion would cause a crack in the monitors plastic backing. The monitors held perfectly. NO MORE DROOPING! Right now the do not droop and they are perfectly aligned horizontally. Every single arm hinge can move but must use some force to do it. I hope this helps future buyers answers if they get to this potential problem. I am pretty sure you can have up to two dual 27 inch monitors setup with this. You just need a better hex wrench and tighten the silver screw very well! Regards, Dr. Wu ... show more
