Features

  • 3 Special Coring Tines: Walensee lawn plug aerator is equipped with 3 tines featuring a tapered, beveled round tube design. The diameter gradually increases from small to large, followed by a straight tube, allowing the tool to smoothly penetrate the soil up to 4 inches and reduce the risk of clogging. This design also helps expel any old soil trapped inside the tube when the aerator is pulled out, ensuring both old and new soil are efficiently removed for a cleaner, more effective aeration.
  • Storage Tray for Soil Cores: This lawn aerator tool comes with a convenient storage tray designed to collect soil plugs during the aeration process. By keeping the soil cores in the tray, it eliminates the need for cleanup on your lawn, saving both time and effort while enhancing the efficiency of the aeration process. Additionally, the tray is constructed from a single piece of metal that is bent and welded, ensuring durability and strength for long-lasting performance.
  • Sturdy and Durable Structure: The lawn coring aerator is expertly crafted from high-quality painted metal, ensuring long-lasting durability and reliable performance while being rust-resistant for extra longevity. In addition, the tray which made from a single sheet of metal positioned 3.2 inches above the foot space, preventing accidental bending from stepping on the edges. This design enhances the overall strength and stability, making it ideal for frequent lawn care tasks.
  • A Solution for Compact Lawn Soil: Walensee manual grass aerator is designed to loosen compacted soil and reduce soil density, allowing water, oxygen, and essential nutrients to penetrate deeper into plant roots, promoting healthier, stronger growth. It also includes a cleaning tool which can easily remove any soil from the tines. Tips: please water well before using to keep the ground moist. • Works very well.
Great product works great. Highly recommend.

  • Great for small spaces.
This lawn aerator is a coring tool that comes in a three piece design. This has a coring bucket that connects to a 2 piece handle. These are connected with a nut and Bolt connection. This aerator coring tool has three prongs that are hollow and this comes with a tool to clean it out. This is made from a metal and is not super heavy but has a decent weight to it. This is easy to assemble. You simply slide the pieces in and connect them with the bolts. The build quality on this fills decent. I don't feel like this is going to break or bend in use and the size of this feels fine. It is a little short but you need to step on it so that's okay. This has a storage tray for the soil cores and rubber handles for grips. In use, this is very simple to use. Simply build and install this, it is very easy and then you step this into the ground where you want to core the dirt. I felt like the prongs are a bit too close together and the dirt likes to clump between them and pulls out big clumps of dirt instead of just cores. I think it would help if the prongs were spaced farther apart so the dirt could not compact between the prongs and be pulled out with them but for the most part this worked pretty well. The cores collect in the bucket as long as you don't have a clog. Once this clogs it's kind of a pain to get it unclogged even though you have a tool it clogs very easy if you have clay dirt and I spent quite a bit of time unclogging this. A tip would be to make sure the barrels for the prongs are cleared before you leave this after using it. If not, the cores get hard inside and are very difficult to remove. The other thing is, I kept snagging myself on the nut and bolts. This scratched me to blood several times and either needs to be shorter or include a rubber cover for it as it's just in a bad position and hangs out to much. It needs a cap style nut. The value on this feels about what you would expect to pay for something like this. This doesn't feel terribly expensive for how well this is built giving this a good to expected value in my opinion and at the time of this review. Overall, this coring tool is very useful. I just need to keep it clean and I would say core on the dryer side so the dirt doesn't clump between the cores pulling out huge clumps of dirt. This has worked well for what we needed it for and it is really only good for small spaces and would recommend this to anybody. ... show more

  • Am I missing something?
I was looking forward to aerating my lawn. I first tried when it was still a bit chilly outside and found that it was fairly difficult to get into the ground. So I waited for it to warm up a little to try again, even after watering a bit to soften the ground up, and it still was so difficult to penetrate. It needs to have some way to apply more downward force by jumping on it or something. I tried with the little tray, but the edges are so sharp that it cut up the soles of my shoes and it's a small area anyway. Anyway, all that being said, maybe my lawn is just too thick or something, but if you had the determination to use it you technically can. It's built fairly well, but maybe the design could be improved upon a bit. ... show more

  • Horrible aerator.
Does Not work as advertised. The holes in the aerator get plugged constantly and the blades bend easily. Horrible product.

  • Prongs too small in diameter
It’s pretty flimsy. But I can get past that. The prongs are too skinny and the clay soil I have just gets jammed in it because they’re too small in diameter. The tool that they send with it doesn’t help much.

  • Great tool for smaller spaces
I have a very small lawn, so I didn't want to buy or rent a larger aerator that will only be used every 1 to 2 years. This seemed like a good solution. The set-up is easy. You just put the rods in place and then put the screws in. The rods all fit and the holes all lined up, making "installation" a breeze. It's a good size and will work well for my height (5' 7"). The aerator is solid and seems like it would take a lot to deform it. There is still a little wiggle after tightening the screws, but it didn't affect the performance or the look of the aerator. There are red rubber stoppers on the end of the coring points so you can store it without having the points on the ground. It also came with a screwdriver with a fork at the end to be used to push out any stuck dirt plugs. A nice extra that will come in handy for a few things I can already think of. I tested this out in an area of my yard that generally has softer ground and in an area where the ground is hard and dry. Obviously the softer ground will go more easily than the harder, but I wanted to have a comparison of the extremes. The aerator went in with ease and pulled up perfect plugs, all contained within the aerator's basket. I didn't have to use a whole lot of muscle. The harder dirt was difficult, of course. I had to use all of my strength and weight to get it all the way down, but it worked just as well as the softer ground. The foot bar above the plug basket was useful in getting it into that dry dirt. Hopefully regular aeration will help the condition of the soil in the dryer sections. This is perfect for my needs, but I don't recommend using this on a large plot of land, unless you want that extra exercise! ... show more
