  • Nice Riser Handlebar
My wife and I live in Florida and ride virtually all year. Her bike had a straight bar which made her lean too far forward, which was uncomfortable riding for long periods. This riser handlebar allows her to ride more upright which is much more comfortable.

  • Right size and rise.
Gets a more upright position riding that I like.

  • PERFECT SHAPE AND FIT!!
Was concerned about pullback and diameter measurements so Amazon-messaged the seller and received a prompt response. Just put the handlebar on it's the perfect shape and fit! Good quality. Packaged very well so was NOT damaged or bent in transit. I would buy from Bell's Bikes again.

  • Good product, packaging not so great.
Good handlebar. Like a lot of reviewers, I no longer find it comfortable to ride with a straight bar. And I'm 6'3" tall, so I have the seat really high, which makes the riding position even more uncomfortable with low handlebars. I had a handlebar with a 2.5" rise on a Trek 2700, but this one is a lot more comfortable. In case you need to know, the sweep back of the handlebar is about 3". I measured that by placing the handlebar on a table and measuring the height of the end of the bar. So on a bicycle, If you have the "U" part of the handlebar vertical, the tips will be about 3" closer to the rider than the center is. Be aware that you may have to replace your brake and shifter cables if your existing handlebar isn't the same rise. I was able to re-route two cables, had to replace one. I deducted one point (should have been half a point, but that's not an option) because the packaging wasn't very good. It was shipped in a priority box that was really just folded and mashed around the handlebar. Consequently, when it arrived, the box was torn almost completely across in two places and when I picked it up, the packing list just fell out on the ground. So it needs better packaging for shipping. The handlebar was undamaged, though (it's a hunk of chromed steel, after all). ... show more

  • Improved ergonomics of bike
Perfect fit, replaced OEM bars that were too low. These are much more comfortable than what I had before, much easier on wrist now since more of my weight is positioned further back and up higher. Very well made.

  • It took too long to unwrap
First of all the handlebars came in a box big enough to fit a teenager in. Then the bubble wrap had to literally be "SHAVED" away from the chrome. It was as if it was heat sealed over the entire thing and took me 40 minutes to scrape the plastic from the metal with as little scratching as possible. It was also hard to handle using awkward using a sharp knife while holding onto bubble wrap and skinny bars! It probably sat in a hot warehouse for who knows how long! ... show more

  • These bars making riding way more comfortable.
My Schwinn Pathway (standard big box store hybrid) had straight bars and a forward leaning riding position that was not comfortable. There is too much pressure on my sore tennis wrist and elbow. Also the weight on my shoulders and strain on the neck keeping my head up to see forward just didn't suit my needs. These bars serve the purpose of letting me sit more upright. I'm not straight up unless I use just the fingertips of one hand on the bar. With both hands on the grips I am leaning forward but at much less angle and it is more comfortable in every way. I use the bike for recreational purposes and may ride about 10 miles at a leisurely pace on any given outing. Mostly neighborhood stuff on city streets, in bike lanes, and up and down sidewalks as necessary to stay alive. The bars are not heavy and might flex in the hands of a crazy BMX or mountain bike rider but for the riding I described above they are fine. Nice chrome finish on mine and all the accessories fit the bars as they should. At $15 its a cheap improvement in comfort which translates into more frequent use and longer rides. ... show more
