Description

Vehicles with automatic transmissions have a flex plate. The flex plates connects the engine and transmission. Most flex plates are made of a thick piece of sheet metal with bolt holes for the torque converter and teeth for the starter. The job of a flex plate is to allow for expansion of the torque converter as engine RPM increases. The constant expansion and contraction of a flex plate over time can result cracks and/or shearing of the flex plate. A damaged flex plate can create serious (expensive) damage. Broken flex plates can not be repaired, they must be replaced. ATP flex plates are made of high quality steel and contain the correct bolt hole spacing and ring gear teeth just like the original part to ensure long life and durability

Like others have mentioned, a bit heavy for a frisbee and no one at the park wanted to play with my cool metal frisbee. However after being sad about not being included in the frisbee games at my local park, i put this frisbee to use in my 427 ls3 stroker back by my 4l80 transmission, worked great! Comes with spacer (which i didnt use as im using a long pilot billet converter) and bolts to bolt the frisbee to the crank ... show more

    • Bolts
A lot of people weren’t sure if it bolts came with or not. The one I received did in fact come with bolts. At first I though it didn’t but they were stuck in the bottom of the box really well, and in a small bag. I had to rip the box open to get them. Great part also.

Excellent replacement for my 2004 silverado 2500HD 4x4, worked perfect, mine came with bolts too, but i didn't use them, i opted for ARP bolts. Also used ARP bolts to bolt up the torque converter to the flexplate. This worked well for my truck, fit perfect and was well balanced and very inexpensive fixed my truck in one afternoon, excellent product i would buy again!!! ... show more
