  • Surprisingly good
I was skeptical at first about buying off brand batteries. But, the price was low enough that I had to try. After a year of owning them, they're holding up great, still hold a good charge and work well with every DeWalt tool I have. My dad works in construction and I've even recommended these for him to try. These were surprisingly good. ... show more

  • Rare exception to aftermarket batteries
I almost never take the time to write a review but I had to do it here. I find that so many of the aftermarket batteries available online are total junk. This is a rare exception I have found. It is reasonably priced seems to have very good run time and almost 12 months and my batteries are still functioning well. ... show more

  • Great Value vs. DeWalt <--- Update
Update 06/13/24: Two days ago I had to cut and grind down extensive cracks on a customer's driveway. I started with a Waitley 6A and got a fair amount done before it died. Then the second Waitley 6A. It was dead in about 10 minutes or less. Both of these had been fully charged on DeWalt's high-speed charger. Followed up with the DeWalt 5A Powerstack and finished the job with power left over. So my updated conclusion is that maybe this two-pack isn't all they are cracked up to. Or maybe I just got a bad battery, I dunno but they are going back and I'll bite the bullet and buy another DeWalt 5A Powerstack. For comparison since that's what most buyers here are considering- this vs. the DeWalt. I like the lightweight construction of this new DeWalt 5A battery. This Waitley is hefty in weight by comparison. In terms of how well the charge holds up under demand, I'd say it's comparable. In terms of price comparison the Waitley 2-pack 6A ($64.98) vs. the DeWalt 5A ($101.85), doing the math here, you could essentially own/buy three 6A for the price of one 5A. Since they are both manufactured in China, I guess it boils down to this, does the DeWalt logo imply their product is worth paying 300%+ more? Will it outperform its competitor manufacturer (Who knows? Maybe they are made in the same factory?) by a factor of three? I've used them side by side doing the same work and the Waitley performed about the same as the DeWalt albeit, the DeWalt is a 5A battery. Only time will tell if the lifespan of one vs. the other becomes an issue. At this point, 45 days in, the DeWalt's power indicator lights have failed and no longer tell me how much power is available. That's disappointing. We'll see how DeWalt warranty service responds and I'll update this with that information once I've heard back from them. Either way, it's a pain in the butt to now have to deal with warranty replacement. ... show more

  • waitly has been awsome . not this time... update edit
11/24 as a response to this review , waitley offered a refund or to ship new batteries . i chose for new batteries due to my history with them . time will tell if they are . consider the time of this update and no new news is good news . if there if further problems, i will update again . THANK YOU waitley disappointed this time . i have had such great luck with all my previous waitley batteries that i expected the same from these . this time i am so disappointed , i thought it was me and loosing track of time of use . i started to pay closer attention and the length of use is short and battery bar 3 out of 4 still good . right . not this time . the gun stops working just like a weak battery or internal open in the pack . the dewalt battery is still performing well and is older . not just one but both batteries acting the same . i have been bragging about these batteries for years now . not even close to a year old . and rotating 3 batteries . one dewalt and 2 waitley . so when they are good , great . just didnt get good ones this time . buyer be where . for those interested . using on my 1/2 in impact gun . DCF900 . ANOTHER AMAZING PRODUCT FROM DEWALT . EVERY day use as an auto mechanic . ... show more

  • Thoroughly impressed. So far, so good
Unfortunately at work we use dewalt everything. My boss has purchased knock off dewalt batteries off ebay a few times, and they were AWFUL. within a couple weeks they started dropping like flies... Wouldn't charge, drain quickly, etc. These were less expensive; and so far have very much surpassed those. Upon arrival, I was sure to fully charge them and for 2 weeks, we have drained and charged them several times and have had zero issues. They seem to last as long as the big dewalt batteries on a full charge, the battery led indicator has 4 bars (dewalt has 3) I will be ordering more for sure. And will update this post if anything changes. (It is currently Nov 2024) Highly recommend over any other generic. Well, for the cost... I recommend these over dewalt👍 ... show more

  • Works perfectly, charges fast at a great price
Purchased these batteries because of price and positive reviews. I bought four of them to allow me to rotate through my 20V Max tools. So far (10 months) they have performed flawlessly and a fraction of the price of the OEM batteries. I use them primarily in a 6/8" pruning chain saw and a vacuum. They provide consistent power for a long time without recharging. I am pleased. ... show more

  • Good value and has the safety chip onboard.
Haven’t actually run these much yet but there’s no reason to doubt they will perform well. All 3rd party batteries I’ve purchased have been good. This one, however, has a safety chip installed. Not sure if the OEM battery has this. This feature monitors all 5 cells for temperature, shorts etc especially when it’s charging and unattended. If it detects a problem, it stops sending power to the battery pack. It’s rare but a single defective cell can overheat and cause the whole battery to overheat if left unchecked. Look for this feature when purchasing replacement batteries. It will also shut down the battery if it fails during discharge or if you have it plugged into a device that tries to drain the battery down too far. If the device or tool you’re using the battery on doesn’t shut down properly, a cell in the battery can reverse voltage and the battery pack can’t be repaired. ... show more
