Here’s a cleaner, more polished version of your review while keeping your voice and experience: ⸻ Love, love, love this! This is my third C-section, and I also had a tube removal during this delivery. I specifically wanted a belly band that offered stronger compression and more coverage than the standard hospital band—and this one delivered. For reference, I was about 180 lbs before delivery and 165 lbs after. I ordered a medium, and it fits well since I have a smaller waist. If your waist is wider, you may want to consider sizing up to a large. This band is significantly better than the one provided at the hospital. So far, I’ve only needed to use the initial compression straps and haven’t even had to use the middle strap yet, which says a lot about how supportive it is. This is not the first time I’ve used a belly band after a C-section, but this one has truly been a game changer for me this go round. ... show more

Had a tummy tuck, so I got this as it says it has great support and I can get it off / on by myself. I ordered a medium per the size chart. This should have given me room to spare, but it is actually too small. I barely have it Velcro shut and I can’t sit. . I will be returning and getting a large.

I had to write this review within a few minutes of putting it on in hopes of helping another mama out there. I was desperate when I got home from hospital and the pain started with a vengeance. While crying in pain I put this on. I now feel 100% better then I was!! It has made my after birth contractions stop or at least where I can’t feel them which makes a huge difference with a C-section. As every contractions pulls at the inside of the incision causes pain. I recommend this band if you had a C-section and are struggling with after birth pain from incision, feeling like your organs are floating around(aka unsupported) or after birth contractions. Buy this!! Not only is it the cheapest I’ve seen it has the perfect type of closures. The front it broken into two straps one on top of belly and one for lower that are thick foam covered in soft fabric. The back is one mesh-like band with two spandex straps that can tighten it more to the top or more to the bottom depending on your belly size or hip shape(flip to switch between angled to top or bottom). I got a medium and it is perfect for 3 days post op. I have narrow hips and I was very small while pregnant and all belly. Pre pregnant weight 105lbs and 138lbs on delivery. I haven’t weighed since I had baby but my belly is about half the size it was. I would say to go up two sizes if you want it to fit right after delivery. I’m an xs, size 1 pants not pregnant. If my belly goes down more I will probably need a small but right now the medium is perfect with about two inches to grow or shrink. I will probably buy the small when my belly goes down more. Keeps my hernias in, supports my back without digging into my sides, and I can breathe! I have a medium and a large size, both work but the the large is a smoother look under clothes. I have 2 abdominal hernias that resulted from a surgery. It’s to risky to fix them so I’ve been trying different braces for 4 years now. Some dug into my sides, some had 3 separate pieces and were just complicated, the one with the piece that attaches to push a hernia didn’t, so I used the basic white wrap the longest and it worked but didn’t hold them in I would have to take it off and redo it every couple hours. This is the only brace that hold my hernias in for hours, is generally comfortable and even though it doesn’t look like it at first, you really can’t see it through my clothes. Key Point: how you put it on ! I took away one star because for me it closes the wrong way for me with the Velcro on the left, SO I actually wear it upside down (I think) with the tag on the bottom and the Velcro on the right when laying on top of it… it works awesome so I don’t care if it wrong. You have to be laying down to put it on (or any brace I always thought everyone knew that but I guess not) so lay down flat, make sure every thing is tucked in internally where it needs to be. Then just pull it as far as you can, hold it tight and pull the other side tight the Velcro does the rest. The adjustments on the back are great. If you want it looser just undo the middle side Velcro pieces and give them slack, if you don’t mind how it feels how can make them tighter to give you more hourglass look. The biggest thing for me is my hernias stay in and the pressure isn’t on my back like with other ones I’ve tried. UPDATE: Not sure if it’s because I wear it everyday and don’t know how to wash it correctly but after about 45 days Neither of the 2 I’ve purchased will stay closed. I’ve tried every trick to clean out the Velcros closures but they still don’t hold very well (and I’m not trying to keep it super tight, just enough to keep my hernias in) I have to take it off lay down and put it back on every 2-3 hours. And still it’s more comfortable and holds my hernia in better than the others I’ve tried. It really sucks that I’ll have to buy 1 every other months. ... show more

I bought this right after I had my baby and what with breastfeeding and sleep deprived days and nights and overall gettin used to Motherhood, I didn't get around to using it until I was 2 months post partum, I had ordered one large and one small as I didn't know which would for once post birth swelling went away. Well the medium fit and I wanted to return the large but was informed that I couldn't as return was only valid for 'x' amount of time after purchase. I think that's very poor business ethics in this day and age. And the medium siZe does fit but it keeps on shifting and sliding up my waist and my pp tummy bulges out from beneath. I'm not sure at his point if there would be any benefit to wearing this contraption and it's extremely uncomfortable and bulky by the wAy and I'm pondering buying something more regular and simple. I don't recommend this product. Update: so this company has been emailing me ever since I wrote my initial review above. I've copy/pasted the latest and third email I got from them below. They are highly unethical! They want me to remove my review or give higher grade in exchange for my money back or another girdle. I responded to the first two emails stating that if they gave me my money back that I would remove the review as one of my complaints was that I couldn't return it. They never got back to me on it instead I get another email with similar request and even sillier explanation. I doubt the genuinity of this company! I had to earn them to never contact me again! See latest email below: Greetings xxxx, I am so sorry that our product (Postpartum Girdle) can not be satisfied with you. But I promise you that we will be responsible for this item. So with my last pregnancy I tried a Belly Bandit and it was ok, but it didn't stay in place and moved up throughout the day. The Bellefit seemed like it would fix that problem since it claps in the crotch but is so expensive I was hesitant. I ended up getting a Bellefit off ebay for around $40. I had both at the beginning of this postpartum phase but didn't really wear them consistently. Fast forward- I started physical therapy and they want me to wear one 23 hrs a day- so I tried both and neither were really working. The Bellefit's seams poked me endlessly and even when I cut the boning out, it still was very uncomfortable. I could handle the squeezing of the girdle but the seams and the way it was cut dug into my skin and left awful red marks and made me so cranky. The Belly Bandit again kept moving and I quickly lost so many inches on my belly that the medium no longer really squeezed. So I started researching and eventually bought about 12 options on Amazon that had free returns and found 2 that I really like: 1. This is my favorite because it really holds the tummy together. The two flaps in front help me get it very snug and the extra parts help pull in extra. I wear this one all day. This one I wear to bed- It is very soft and well made with nice velcro. I again like the 3 strips to pull in front because I can pull different sections more/less tight (waist, hips etc).
